Ginn was a great pick. They basically traded the Browns for Brady Quinn. As a Browns fan, I would"ve traded for Ginn then,and certainly now! I'd have him at Corner, though, and returning kicks and punts. He's a much more gifted Corner, even more than Gamble. He never played WR until college, and he's not going to get much better there.

Odom loves the Lakers, but his agent is an idiot, and may have already blown it for him. I love the fact that Buss withdrew the offer, but it was a stupid way of negotiating on the Lakers part. Kupchek offering a little bit more money , in chunks at a time. It was confusing. It made Odom camp think there was no bottom, so they stayed quiet and waited. Now, Buss is PO'ed for not getting an answer.

Odom won't sign with Miami for 6.8 mil a year. The tax argument is stupid. All players Pay tax at wherever the game is being played at that states rates.
But he may be playing for the Heat next year. The Lakers could do a sign and trade and get Chalmers or someone. Certainly not Beasely.
The lakers won't do a sign and trade with Dallas, or any West conf contender.

I think you're on the right track. The Bucks did take a PG with #5 pick, so maybe only have to give up Bynum and Sasha and the Lakers only draft pick they took this yr . I think Rubio would love to play for the Lakers.

Lakers would love Kidd, but they have no FA money at all. There is absolutely no truth unless Kidd plays for free. heh heh

I think if they win it this year, they keep both. They'll figure it out. They are 2 entirely different players. They are tied for the#3 most important players on the Lakers. Ariza is Kobe's Pippen, roaming around, his defence, scores 3's and drives. He's so important to the triangle, and can guard the toughest athlete to free Kobe up, as did Scotty many times with MJ.

Odom can play every position. He even made a good point guard at times this year. He plays many positions well. He can bang and get you rebounds. Steals are Ariza's specialty. Both players can nail the 3, and have great moves to the basket. Both a good shot-blockers, and play tight defense.

If They win it, I think Kobe takes a paycut and says' Let's do it again". He will make double the amount in endorsements with another ring, and that's what he's always been about.

The 50k comes from the fine Phil (25k) and Lakers (25k) paid before game 5 for Jackson speaking out against the officiating of game 4 when the Nuggets got about 50 fouls called their way.
Denver is a physical team. The Lakers don't mind , as long as it's called consistantly on both sides.The 4th period of game 5 is when the Lakers figured out a way to go inside, and they never looked back. The Refs let them play. It was a good $50,000 investment.

It was dumb to get rid of Winslow for 2 lower round picks. At least he was catching the balls from all 5 QB's the Browns had last year! So many holes on Defense, so get rid of all your good offensive players, so you have to use your picks to try and replace the offensive players you just got rid of!! Brilliant, Mancocks!

I don't think he goes to Notre Dame, because his brother just went there. Ohio State looks like the leader right now, and has as good a chance as anyone to land him. Many schools will offer him, but it's waaay too early in the process. Chillax, people!
BTW, leglifter, who has more players consistly in the NFL other than Ohio State and USC? And don't tell me an SEC team, where High School players go to die .
