Posted Thursday February 26, 2009, About: Redskins' top three free-agent targets
There are so many teams cleaning hous that there will be plenty of good free agents to sign at almost discount prices. Play it cool and trade that 13th pick for more picks in later rounds. The 'Skins are not that far away. If they be smart and address the needs of the team the players like, Campbell and the 2 recievers drafted last year can make some noise this season. The most important task, again, is the "O" line, and hall.

I love the 'Skins but it just isn't worth it to even try to sighn Haynesworth, and as for Canty that would be another mistake in FA that the skins would truly regret. The mission should be to first sure up the offensive line and to get Deangelo signed along with getting rid of over paid, under productive players that hinder the cap.
Posted Thursday February 26, 2009, About: Duke's achilles heel is...
I know that this is a post about Duke's problem, but Have younoticed how Duke's lineup change has yielded 3 straight wins. Now by no means has Duke solved all that is wrong but this was the first step back to being respected as oppossed to critics crying abot refs, and bias. We still need to find a way to at least slow down dribble penetration, and to use Zubek and Plumlee mor effectively against big physical teams. People talk about Duke's Lack of an inside threat, but I find that if used in a defensive, and foul yielding asset then Duke can have the scorers at the end of the game fresher and mor dangerous to the opposition.

To follow up, I think Duke is as good as any team in the nation. I have been a Duke fan since 1979 and I see now what I haven't seen in championship years. The players outside of Henderson and Singlar don't seem to have the mental toughness to deal with adversity when Duke falls behind. Players have to hold themselves accountable for their shortcomings. Once those players understand that then look for great things come tournament time. I also see good things. The team has great talent,in which Coach K hasn't tapped into. Just to name a few; Plumlee,#20,for lack of knowing the young man's name,Pocious, outside of the normal players. Duke also rely on the three, and thats fine, but the team still have to penetrate and dish as opposed to standing on the perimeter. I love Duke basketball and love coach K, but I think Duke has a better team than the way they are playing. When the Devils realize this then look out college basketball.

Duke's problem is that, coach K has to play more of the bench. Also Greg Paulas needs to come off the bench. Players have a responsibility as well. Unless coach finds a way to get more options on the floor, then look for another early exit from the NCAA tournement. With the last 2 losses its been the inabality of Duke's gaurds not being able to stop dribble penetration. The remedy is to playn zone when that trend starts in a game. Duke also have to find more options on the offensive end. I could write much more but I wanna hear what other Duke fans think about what I have noticed so far.
Posted Tuesday February 03, 2009, About: Are Niners eyeing Michael Vick?
There is a simple theme that I have seen here. You either love dogs or you don't hold them in as high regard. It was terrible what Vick is convicted of. As I said in my last comment, He is serving his time. You do the crime, You do the time. Ok with that said, he has the right to earn a living, and if some of society has a problem with it then so be it. I still conclude that all this hate and anti-Vick talk is still motivated by what america wants to shove under the rug when brought up.If ESPN cn put on hunting shows and show how these aniomals are hunted for sport,WHEN NONE IS STARVING, then I think we can find some kind of forgiveness for Mr. Vick.

I have sit here and read most comments and whar's funny is that the amount of stupidity involved with certain subjects. I think that Vick has faced his accusers and served his time. What I don't understand is why is killing dogs more important than killing humans? Or is this part of somethingn more sinister(racism). I personally believe that folks on this blog making thes judgements that he's a slimeball, ect., are people who has a problem with black athletes making the big bucks, and they have to continue to work their jobs and are very jealous. If it bothers you people that bad then get some talent,so you don't have to show how you really believe that minorities should be treated over and over again by a racist society.
Posted Friday January 23, 2009, About: Odom in Lakers-Raptors swap?
Age , is another factor. Why trade for this guy, who's been in the league awhile, and skills are starting to decline, when there is so much youth in the league.

Considering the recent injuries to O'neal i, it's a bad move
