DO you really think Burke is going to or should fire Wilson????
People you have to remember that Fletcher said that they weren't going to make any coaching changes until they had a permanent GM in place and THEN they fired Maurice to bring in Wilson who may respect each others professional accomplishments but like to stay away from working with friends or maybe they are good friends who can work with each other and have no issues with backroom deals.

As much as people hate to mention backroom deals, this is clearly one that fits the bill, and Burke will not be handing Wilson the pink slip anytime in the near future.

Wilson and Burke are connected to each other in too many ways, Wilson isn't going anywhere till Burke is finished. Both have been successful before Toronto, maybe we'll start to see that magic touch soon.

I hope they don't a have Red Sox/Cubs like funk. But seeing as they went/going twice as long without winning a championship and people still love them and they make boat loads of money, I'm thinking Leafs brass would be OK with that.

If the Flames organization made a significant donation this issue means nothing, but if not then a lot of tough questions need to be asked like why would the province allow people who don't have permanent residence there jump ahead of permanent residences?? He was ostracized by his teammates for not paying attention in practice, wearing headphones in the dressing room and rarely attending team functions. I wonder why no one talked to him?!?
