What's a "hard hockey play" when you hit someone from behind?

A hard hockey play is a good clean check ... this was just dirty..cheap shot hockey.

Say what you want about him being clutch in the playoffs... I don't disagree... but he was a dirty player his whole career and he KNEW when he hit Draper from behind that injury was very likely to happen.....and he didn't care...that's intent....he'd already been suspended before for a sucker punch to Kozlov.

If anyone playing today made that hit you'd be yelling for his head Hank and you know it

Even the NHL when they suspended him said .. it was a premeditated cheap shot...yeah he does what's required alright...

He and McCarty with the hatchet buried has nothing to do with the hit does it?

Just because you like the guy ...that means he can't have intent?

He INTENTIONALLY ran a guy from behind...may not have wanted to rearrange his face but the intent was to injure...
Then to say he didn't think he did anything wrong? There's no defense for that Hank and it pretty much says what kind of dirty, cheap shot player he was.

Biggest (starts with d ends with bag)ever to play....if he made that check today he'd be suspended for 30 games at least..if not more. It was intention to injure without a doubt. PLUS the guy is a (another name for kitty)....goes after guys like Slava Kozlov ...or Draper...but when the guys like Shanny and McCarty were around he ran for the bench...right up until DM got him...and he covered up like a little girl. No respect for this guy whatsoever... I'd rather have 5 Avery's instead of 1 of the turtle punk. TOTAL (3 letter reference to backside)
