While I'd love to see him out there....I'd rather he sits til training camp next year.... get completely healthy. Like was said before ...even if the Wings lost the next 3 and went out...I'd still be happy with the way they played in the playoffs....finally some grit and fight from a team everyone always says is soft. Young guys are coming up and showing they can play at this level...so the retool is well under way and progressing well.
I think you're right on here roamer....and we've seen it when the Wings were in the exact same position with the Pres. Trophy......I'm still nervous but ... GO WINGS!!!
feel for ya last night Spiny....you got probably the best goalie in the NHL and they don't give him the support he deserves. Nash plain sucks...he was better last night but that really isn't saying much. As sickening as it is I too agree with PM ...they were running all over the ice with no direction whatsoever...and believe me I've seen the keystone cops routine...the wings started out the season doing much the same thing...was maddening
I agree....I think that goal should have counted.... then again the first one should have been blown dead on a boarding call on Franzen behind the Hawks goal as well...
I as well RP I've been disappointed in the past at the grit...or lack of...that the Wings showed in the playoffs. They've had years of coasting into the playoffs and then bowing out early. This year they've clawed their way over the Ducks and to a 2-1 game lead in round 2 They have really surprised me.

come playoff time almost anything would be an improvement from his former years

I still agree that MacLean should get the award for what he did with the Sens though.
