That is my opinion from personal experience in following the NFL for decades. People could be right and Cassel would be a Montana, Young, Warner, Bradshaw, Marino, Manning and Brady all rolled into one, but if you look at history and the team Cassel played on you will agree with me. Remember, Cassel is a college and NFL bench warmer (until this past season). Now he plays on a great NE team and teams would give up a #1 and ten's of millions for this guy? I hope someone does and gets what they deserve for their stupidity. I hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt it.

Cassel will probably suck as a starter for any average team. I could probably be a great QB playing for NE. They won the Super Bowl 3 out of 4 years earlier this decade and was undefeated going into last years Super Bowl. Cassel did not even get a great NE team into the playoffs this year.

I love it when a bench warmer or underachiever QB finally has a good season at the end of their contract and gets signed to a huge contract, then sucks or gets cut. I think NE knows this and wants to get whatever they can from another sucker...I mean team as soon as possible. I predict that Cassel will either be sitting the bench or having a terrible 2009 season.
