1. the NFL is horrible because if you throw games you are guaranteed the top pick
2.after the NHL lockout, Sydney Crosby, aka the next Wayne Gretzky was in the draft. Every team in the league had a chance at the top pick by the number of playoff appearances in the past three years. I think the NBA should combine that with the teams record that season and you have yourself the perfect draft lottery where teams would not be able to throw one season to get the top pick, but consistently bad teams would always have a better shot at he pick.
