Actually, TNVOLTHEWAY, Big Baby was their last season, and they STILL did terrible. To go from the Final 4 to missing even the NIT in one season is not very good. The only players they lost were Tyrus Thomas and Darrell MItchell. Like someone above said, he couldn't recruit a point guard, or last year's team would have been INFINETELY better.

yeah you can't just throw someone out for one minor thing. for some people football is their lives. last i heard of maurice clarrett, as soon as he was out of football he got arrested, haven't heard anything since.

hmm nice spelling moron. i love ucla, and if they don't beat usc (and they very easily could with 20 starters returning from the team that beat them last year) then lsu will beat them in the NC, assuming USC makes it that far.

oh and by the way TideintheNW, i got this little stat off espn.com.

There are only five teams to have 11 or more victories in three of the last four seasons -- Boise State, LSU, Oklahoma, TCU, and USC.

And while Miles doesn't have any championships yet, he has consistency, having led LSU to its first consecutive 10 win seasons in history (in his first two years, saban didn't have that). if you are consistently that good, eventually you will break through.

A list of their 4 losses-georgia (w/ j-russell hurt and out of the game), tennessee (first game after katrina, moved to monday, but they did blow a big lead), at auburn (that no-PI call was bull, that would've given them a first down in the red zone), and at florida (eventual national champion, and they beat themselves, commiting 5 turnovers, including one at the 1 yard line and a safety on a kickoff). they had a chance, and probably should've won all those games, maybe with the exception of the GA game. still, not bad for your first 2 years in the SEC.

yeah right he's not going to win one. even if he doesn't win this year (which he will), Louisiana is loaded and they always get the best from their. it doesn't matter how bad they were before saban (and they weren't that bad, they were mediocre), because now they are an established top 5 program, so unless they slip considerably, they will still get top recruits.

yeah we probably will and i just gotta say i hate florida so freaking bad. usc is the team i hate more than anything in the whole world, but florida is up there. i think LSU will go to the NC and play USC, cause they have a joke of a schedule as usual. then we can settle the 03 title game too, which everyone knows should've gone to LSU in the SEC. but yeah i like ainge, and i hope tebow dies, so see u in atlanta.

wow you guys are idiots, especially bama. first of all, lsu is taking the NC this year. great returning defense, they got early doucet back, the top WR recruit in the country terrance tolliver, #5 JUCO receiver prospect, both corners returning, a sure top 10 if not top 5 pick in this years draft if he had come out, Glenn Dorsey, matt flynn was the MVP of the Peach Bowl against a top 5 miami d and not to mention he took the QB battle to the beginning of the season with this years #1 NFL draft pick. their backfield is absolutely loaded-keiland williams, charles scott, jacob hester, and richard murphy.

But about bama, you guys haven't really done anything for a while so stop talking. a loss is a loss, whether by 3 points or 30 points. tennessee is right they own u and you fired the coach who led you to the best season in a while.

raider ray you need to wake up. first of all, russell did not just have 1 major season, he is like 27-4 as a starter or around there, they went 10-2 last year, in the toughest conference in the country. he led them to overtime wins over auburn and alabama a year ago in overtime, they went on the road like a week after katrina and he came back and had a clutch td pass, look it up on youtube.
and this year he had a clutch game at tennessee, (and oh by the way, they played five top 10 teams on the ROAD, SEC TEAMS ON THE ROAD!) and then just lit up notre dame. and i have an article with me right now by tony pauline that was on si.com the day of the sugar bowl, talking about how if russell declares, he could be number 1 and how the game could determine it. RUSSELL DELIVERS IN BIG GAMES!! i don't know how else to say it. and you said he wasn't the starter at the beginning of the season? there was a possibility of some qb controversy cause he got injured in SEC championship year before, but les miles always said he was their guy (oh and i forgot to mention he played his sophomore season with his wrist screwed up).
and you can't say quinn doesn't choke in big games. 2-8! 2-8 against michigan usc and in bowl games. w/ peyton, the problem was he couldn't beat florida. w/ quinn, he can't beat anybody good. i can't believe that you could write things that **** on this board. you are a joke.
