No. The guy from the post has wrote a lot of nonsense for the past year. No joke he said hte NHL gave a 25 mil loan. The NHL and Devils both said no of that. Then he said it wasn't a loan. He said their owner was no longer in charge and the NHL was. The NHL and Devils both said no. He than said a last minute deal kept him as owner. Then said he defaulted on his loans. The banks said no and he said a last minute deal was done on that too. Guy is 0-6 on Devils articles so far. He even put in his article that the NHL has disputed these findings from yesterday. The word today is that the old TB owner is looking to be a minority owner of the Devils, but i have heard about 10 different guys names who will be a minority owner. Whoever owns the Devils gets their arena, which is a cash cow.
I read on twitter two days ago a guy on hockey buzz (start laughing) wrote about this. So my guess is Gary Lawless picked up the story and ran with it. If it's not him or not about this, then I apologize, but I could see this happening two days ago.
Malkin stated yesterday that he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh, and would be willing to take a "hometown discount." How the eff is 10 Million a hometown discount?

As for your question, well.....
The Pens will spend 28.3% of their salary on two players that have missed 32.7% of the last 4 seasons.
You just said that.
