I think this is a stare-down between Garrett and JJ. JJ wants Garrett to quit so he won't have to honor his contract. Garrett's going "hey do what you want, JJ - I'll take the millions, thanks." I'd like to have been a fly on the wall and heard some of the conversations that I'm sure have taken place between those two in JJ's office over this deal.
Yes, refreshing to hear him be honest. Of course, the good 'ol boys of the Dolphin's unbeaten team are pretty unabashedly against anyone breaking their hold on the only undefeated season, so this is not unprecedented.
FWIW, as a Colts fan since they've been in Indy, I still remember fondly those few years of watching Eric when he was in his prime. There's never been a back quite like him since. I always thought of him like a thoroughbred horse. His form and running style were a thing of beauty to watch. But he could be a **** too, lol.
"..., but Ryan doesn't want a QB controversy..." Yeah, he does, or they wouldn't have brought Timmy in to begin with. He was a sure QB controversy waiting to happen, and they knew it when they signed him.
If the players would shut up on their own when it's time to call the play in the huddle, then the rook QB wouldn't have to tell them to. Just a thought...
Hey CJ2K...here's a tip: at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you think either - it matters what you DO on the field. History will record who was and who wasn't the best back in the league this coming year, and I have no problem saying that. Word.
Like that dude that got stabbed back in 2000.

Right. And what it is, is increasingly looking more like a noodle.
