This is really the e-bye start of the end of the NCAA & BCS as we know it. The realignments will be as earthshaking as OU & Georgia's lawsuit against the NCAA over TV rights was about 30 yrs. ago.

My prediction - we're going to end up with about 4 super-super conferences, each with around 14-16 schools. They'll put together their own football championship using the conference championships as a play-off. By NCAA & BCS.

I absolutely agree. Ponder has the potential of being a very serviceable NFL QB even if he's not a stud QB. He certainly has far more potential than Gabbard, who was taken ahead of him. And I won't even begin to rant here about Carolina's pick - the next Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell.

The only question I have is whether the coaching staff is patient & capable enough to develop Ponder.
