Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: Why some Eagles are going to 'fall by the wayside'
I don't see Vick coming back after all the turnovers in key situations. Kelley has some young QBs to look at a replacement. Dennis Dixon (a former Oregon Duck) 5 years, Nick Foles 2years out of Airz. G.J. Kinne 1year Tulsa and Matt Barkley USC. drafted last April. Should be some good competition for starting QB job.

New coach Kelley Will clear house. Either adapt and buy into Kelley's Scheme, or you will be out. Kelley will not tolerate veterans telling Kelley how they will play.
Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: 'Baffling' Davis playing his way out of New York
Why would Mariners give up Smoak for Ike Davis unless Mets Threw in Wheeler in the deal.
Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: Careless Jets already steaming Ryan
Ryan should cloned and stuck in steering wheels in cars. He is a big air bag. He got steamed at QBs, for interceptions at work out. Sanchez did not deserve a pat on back he should know better but to get steamed at both QBs is ineffective Smith just out of college and probably first start of workouts. Maybe if Ryan tried coaching young QB instead of throwing him under bus with Sanchez. Ryan to busy being Ryan
Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: 'Baffling' Davis playing his way out of New York
Perhaps sending Davis to triple A might light a fire under hisass and make him realize if he wants to get back to ML club he has to show management he can be more productive at plate and on defense. Mets would have to do some shuffling to cover first base.
Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: Careless Jets already steaming Ryan
Ryan is crying because he realizes the jets are not going to win with Sanchez. He should have figured that out two years ago. Geno Smith has a lot to learn before starting at QB. Ryan and the Jets brought Tebow on with Jets. Even though Sanchez was struggling Ryan was too stubborn to give Tebow a chance to show how he would handle QB role. Crying Ryan deserves the offense he built. Deal with it. Could be Ryan's last year if he makes it to end of season.
Posted Thursday May 23, 2013, About: Careless Jets already steaming Ryan
Ryan and the Jets should bring in a veteran QB to teach the rookie how to read defenses and how to protect the ball Should help make Sanchez an improved Qb Geno smith might learn something also

Posted Wednesday May 22, 2013, About: Make-or-break week for the M's
The Mariners have been the same mariners for the last 4-5years . Potentially ,on paper they should do well. Unfortunately they play on the diamond and not on paper.
Posted Wednesday May 22, 2013, About: Lee prepared to leave Philly?
If the Phillies could trade Lee, he could bring in some young prospects which is badly needed in Philly even if Philllys still had to eat some or most of lee's contract. philly's should try to move Utley and Rollins. .trade while or if you get some young talent for one and/or both. If Philly trys wait until end of season. The window for getting much in return starts to close.
Posted Wednesday May 22, 2013, About: Ryan Mattheus breaks pitching hand after punching locker
the nationals should suspend his contract until his hand heals. Same with any team when a player does something dumb like punching lockers or walls or water coolers. The locker didn't give up walkoff hit. Why hit the locker. Now they have to bring someone from minors to take your place. what happens if the minor league player comes up and does very well. much better than expectations. Could cost your spot on roster. Smooth move EXLAX.
Posted Tuesday May 21, 2013, About: Biggest loser in Super Bowl shuffling
Stephen Ross wants big money to up grade Pro Player park But Ross doesn't want to pay for it and doesn't want a scaled down version of upgrades. He was turned down for public funding after Fiasco with Marlin Stadium. ( Thank you Loria). Ross wants a super bowl but doen't want to make the investment to Get it. As the saying goes Put up or Shut up.
Posted Tuesday May 21, 2013, About: Biggest loser in Super Bowl shuffling
The biggest problem playing super bowl in GreenBay, Chicago, Cincinnati , or New England or Philly. The ordinary fan often doesn't get to go to Super Bowls. A lot of VIPs, Corporate sponsors.Corporations and their officers and some employees These VIPS don't want to sit in cold They deserve better like a warm climate or a temp regulated domed stadium. It will be interesting to see how weather will be when super bowl played Giants and Jets stadium in Jersey.
Posted Tuesday May 21, 2013, About: Pressure rises on Cards to rush prized arm
Cardinal management is thinking what is best for cardinals and their talent in minors. Too many times organizations impapatient to try to improve ball club in an effort to get from 3rd or4th place to get to 2nd or 3rd place they rush up that talented pitcher. they put him in the game right away, ends up getting shelled. they take him out and let bull pen finish the game. 5 days later they start him again and again he gets shelled. Finally team realizes the kid just is n't ready for ML hitters. They send him back to minors his confidence shattered and occassional never achieves talent he was projected for.
Posted Tuesday May 21, 2013, About: 'Alarming' report on Werth
If Werth 's hamstring is still sore stay out until healed. by trying to play through it can do oneof two things. 1: you don't go after line drives or flyballs at full speed, or run to first or bases at full speed. or you go all out and risk tearing the hamstring andbe out months instead of weeks.
Posted Tuesday May 21, 2013, About: Mattingly won't last the week
Ithink Tony Pena deserves a chance. some people think Mattingly's replacement should come from someone with ties to the Dodgers doesn't always work. A lot of times its the same old management style ,just a different face. A fresh approach with a different style of manager. one who holds players accountable. players who under perform or don't hustle to first base on a groung ball, or running bases on basehits or pitchers who don't cover first on ground balls to right side. by sending players to minors or releasing under performing players will send a message to rest of team. give 100% effort or you could be next.
Posted Monday May 20, 2013, About: Oswalt knocking on the door
Oswalt's career record shouldearn him consideration for HOF. Trying to make a team and risk having some much less than good outings could cost Oswalt that consideration for HOF .The sports writers that vote have shown that they often have a short memory.
Posted Monday May 20, 2013, About: Mattingly won't last the week
would not be surprised if the Dodgers gave him to the All- Star game. Time to get some key players and pitchers off of DL. If no improvement by then, then Mattingly will be gone. Who will take over who knows. The Angels are playing a little better . Trout Trombo And Puljos, and rest of lineup is starting to hit better(except Hamilton) who has hit some HRs. Scoicia's job seems to be safefor tis year. Dodgers can forget about Scoisia in Dodger Blue this year.
Posted Monday May 20, 2013, About: Scout: Giancarlo Stanton was playing like he wants out of Miami
Miami tax payers should repossess the stadium and evict Loria
Posted Monday May 20, 2013, About: Lou Piniella: Today's MLB players work out too much
Also a lot of players start running out of gas around late August or early Sept. Whenyou figure hitters go through 4 weeks of spring training, Then all the BP swings before every game plus 3 to 5 at bats a game. this could explain why hitters goes through so many peaks and valleys through out the season. As Lou suggested with all the time in weight room, seems more oblique strains. Hamstrings pulls seem to be down from what there was 10 years ago. But still happening.
Posted Sunday May 19, 2013, About: Scout: Giancarlo Stanton was playing like he wants out of Miami
It is understandable Stanton wants out . Now if only MLB could get Loria to sell out and retire from MLB. Maybe someone could convince Selig to retire also.
