Well guess I will head out to the garage and hook up the gas pipe to the car..
wait a minute !
I know what I can do..
I can have a blast watching the NBA this year with zero expectations for my team,and wait for the end of the season where good god we should get some good picks.
This is up there with the Spurs with David and his back =Tim Duncan.
Only difference he they didn't play him even when he could have played..
therefore dropping down even further(always a thorn in my side)

Oh well..
there is always next year..bring on the Draft Picks..hehe

We are here waiting for your return to our team.
Maybe with a little luck we can even get another draft pick next year
for the rebuilding process.

Every single person here who says something negative about Greg
better do a litlle soul searching. *If* it had been your team,wouldn't you
have been over the moon to draft this big goofy kid who has captured our hearts ?
Now suddenly people have turned on him ? For what?
If the very team that drafted him and the fans have nothing bad to say about Greg,how can people who have zero to do with Portland be so sour on him?
It's really weird.

Not only is he going to be a fun player to have on our team,but the best part of all about him ?? We really,really like him !
To be able to see him in a Blazer uniform and play for our city is just going
to be the greatest. As a long time Portland Trailblazer fan I can wait for 2 years if he needs it. We have waited a long time for a player like him.

This guy was running and jumping out of the gym,even beating Durant on running.. during the summer.
He surely was not "damaged " then.
He was beating just about everybody in the gym.
So where is all this coming from that he was already injured?
He didn't look injured to me in the Final Four and Championship game.
He wasn't "injured" then..
Now someone from the East(Danny Ainge I am sure) is putting out this crap about how he Knew about Greg's knee.
I don't believe this for a minute.
The MRI'S would have showed problems.

Having a contest to make fun of Greg's injury.
They actually removed my post when I stood up for him,yet left all the rats
of the earth to make fun of Greg and his injury.
How far can S.I. and Fan Nation fall that they remove the poster that
tries to say something decent and they leave in the hateful comments ???

I just read all the above comments and I find them embarrassingly bad.
Not only are they mean spirited,but just plain crap.
Hey,I can wait a little longer to see Greg on the court.

Come on down in 2008-2009 after the next draft and revisit the Blazers.
This was already a rapidly getting better team,but with a "rebuilt" Greg and yet another draft pick and Brandon and LaMarcus another year,this will be a very,very good team.

I remember several Laker Blazer games where Blazers got techs called while they looked at the refs..
I remember several Laker players getting every call in the book,Blazers nothing. I remember a mighty big game 7 2000 and Sabas got 3 fouls within
minutes..one of them while he was flat on his back and Shaq standing over him. Remember the playoffs when he mowed players to the ground and the one on the ground got the foul??

It was a real turning point in game 7 2007 WCF. Once our center got that mysterious 3 foul in minutes..Shaq had his way in the paint and things turned rather quickly.. Watch the game again if you don't believe me.
Folks are quick to hang it on Blazers folding..I call it shellshocked at the
events unfolding. Suddenly Portland couldn't get a foul called on any Laker fan..yet our guys were all sitting on the bench..
The game was over..Portland lost..Portland was called a choker.

I maintain those plays in the 4th quarter were scandalous that were called against Portland. Steve Smith got practically knocked out in the 4th by Shaq and no foul. he should have been fouled out way before the mysterious "collapse by Portland"..
Don't think that can turn a game ? Shaq with about 13 fouls and Sabas called out for breathing on Shaq ??

Oden is coming to the NBA with some of the best grades in school
any player has ever come in to the NBA with.

In fact when Portland got to meet him and hear what he had to say,he said that good grades were something he has had his entire life.
And he spoke to the kids about how proud he was of that .

Geesh,I think he said he had never even had below a B in any class.

Hummm,which one of the above posters wouldn't jump at the chance of
signing Greg for their team.
Then suddenly he would look a bit more "handsome"..yep the NBA is full of really good looking guys...???????? I would say Greg is a nice looking clean cut young fella. With his weathered skin,he does have an older look to some respect,yet I have seen close up photo's of him that I don't notice it all all.

And to the guys that label him a "bust"...hummmm,would you feel just a little bit better tonight with the news that your team signed him tonight?
Humm??

And to every other complaint posted here...
If he is 50% as good as advertised,he will make an already young up and coming Blazer team a whole lot better. Portland's young team had already started to jel and come together when all got healthy at the end. They just ran out of time once all were together.

Do I think Greg will be even better than advertised? Nope..I think they knew what they were getting when they signed him.
We are all excited for the season to start and have a level headed view of the new season.

How come fans that don't get high draft picks always have to tear down the teams and players that get them? I will say one thing for Portland and it's fans.. You just don't see that from Portland. Maybe we are all aware of
how things can change going from 21 or 22 years straight in the playoffs to not making them for 4 years.
Remember to be kind to those you pass on your way up,because you will have to pass them on your way back down.

It's pretty easy to pick on somebody's looks as you sit there behind your keyboard. Guess you are all movie star good looking,huh?
There is nothing someone can do about their god given looks. I would no more make fun of Greg's looks than I would laugh at somebody with a portwine stain on their face..It would never enter my mind to be so cruel.

What ever..
Just root for your teams and players and let Portland grow. Portland will be back in the playoffs and I think a Mr. Greg Oden will be a big part of that.
