Everywhere Peytee Poo plays, the defense gets worse.
Posted Thursday April 17, 2014, About: A&M left scrambling for a quarterback
If A&M has NFL talent on the OL and a huge receiver with some hops it doesn't really matter who the QB is does it? Johny Trademark had success in that system, hard to believe his replacement is that hard to find.
Posted Thursday April 17, 2014, About: Pats moving up for an impact WR
This might be the year the Pats don't draft a bust at WR, but you have to think DB is an area of bigger need. (or DL)
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Kansas recruit wants to be one-and-done
And what would the kids who don't make the NFL do. The vast majority would not make the NFL. 18-22 age is a key development stage mentally and physically for football. The NCAA makes very little money on football, all of the money is to the schools and conferences.

What is your idea of "very little" exactly?
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Kansas recruit wants to be one-and-done
Auburn and FSU combined for about $163,000,000 in revenue. Chump change compared to Alabama's $123M so don't tell me about money, it's there.
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Kansas recruit wants to be one-and-done
I think you are way off on the money side. If these D1 schools can afford to pay assistant coaches over 1 mil a year and head coaches 5 plus mil a year they can EASILY afford to pay for athletic programs. Each one of these big football programs get about 20 Million a year JUST from TV, then there's tickets, jerseys, parking.....etc. "sports as we know it would end"....poppycock, they all survived before massive TV contracts and in some cases still do without major TV cash.See the Ivy League but of course that is actually about "student athletes".
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Kansas recruit wants to be one-and-done
Only way to stop this is to pay them what they deserve. The only people in America not allowed to earn a living in their field are NCAA "student-athletes". I think it would be a great idea if the NFL had a year long "camp" for high school stars/college recruits and paid them 50 grand a year AND move the Thursday night game to Saturday afternoon and see what happens to the NCAA football cartel. I'd bet a vast majority of the stars would skip college and take the money, as they should.
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: The best RB in the draft will drop
Off field issues? You put down a 4.5 40 at 235 pounds you're getting drafted earlier than later.
Posted Monday April 14, 2014, About: Spoiled and lazy Clowney will disappoint
A lot of NFL teams won't care, it's about ticket sales. BigMac Russell went #1 a few years ago and he fleeced the Raiders for a LOT more money than Clowney can with today's CBA.
Posted Saturday April 12, 2014, About: Browns match Jaguars' Alex Mack offer
If they matched to keep Mack why in the hell did they let TJ Ward go in favor for a slower and much older Whitner? Strange.
Posted Saturday April 12, 2014, About: Does Andre Roberts regret signing with Redskins?
The money is great but it's the still the foreskins. A franchise so bad the Lavar Arrington paid them over $4 mil to leave. As long as Snyder is writing checks and they give away their future for marginal QB's more interested in his logo than learning his craft.....same old same old. Pop the bubbly when you hit 9 wins. How badly do you think Wash. wants that '12 draft back? I know DC is mostly blacks that buy jerseys but you have to think they'd prefer to win games.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Desperate Lions trading up for Watkins
Santonio Holmes was a #1 pick, won a SB AND SB MVP. Your "logic" is seriously flawed and the evidence proves otherwise. By your thinking, 49'ers nevr should have made the title game because they drafted a WR in the first round a few years ago? So then no playoff team will draft a "skilled" position player in the first round this year right? Nonsense.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Desperate Lions trading up for Watkins
Swann, Rice, Lofton, Taylor, Monk, Moss........all 1st rounders, all HOF'ers.. Foolish picks?
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Mack wants to play this contract in Jacksonville
Right road? Like letting a very good safety they drafted walk so they could sign a much older safety on the downside of his career? At best they could be the Cowboys North, but I guess most Brownie fans would take consistent mediocrity about now. IMO the "right road" would be trying to land Mettenberger in the draft.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Mack wants to play this contract in Jacksonville
The cap was put in place for two reasons. To avoid what MLB has become, those with a chance and the majority of teams with zero chance of winning a title and secondly a legally binding excuse to pay as little as possible for labor. (this is why the NCAA will fight like hell and spare no expense lawyering up to fight paying football and basketball players, they currently enjoy a multi billion dollar a year business with free labor)
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Bridgewater working with Bears' Marshall, Cutler
Is Cutler going to help Bridgewater's hands grow?
Posted Thursday April 10, 2014, About: Desperate Lions trading up for Watkins
I haven't watched a lot of college ball but it seems to me Watkins catches a vast majority of passes within 5 yards of the line....who's going to trade multiple picks for that?
Posted Monday April 07, 2014, About: Browns prefer Carr over Manziel
Heard a guy on AM radio who put it best: What has changed in the NFL where a slightly built 5-11 QB who doesn't throw to open receivers is suddenly in the discussion as a top pick?
Posted Friday April 04, 2014, About: Manziel trademarks 'The House That Johnny Built'
Other than a complete lack of NFL talent, here is reason #61 Manziel should be 5th rounder. ANY team that drafts him in the first round will be replacing their entire front office staff within 2 years.
Posted Thursday April 03, 2014, About: Spurrier backtracks on Clowney dig
He's most likely the first pick in the draft, don't think that hurts recruiting at all.
Posted Monday March 31, 2014, About: Dalton has eight figures at stake
I guess the big question is does Cincy brass think Dalton caused them to lose those playoff games? If not you'll see an extension.
