It's once more going to be a storm in a glass of water. In other words, blown out of proportion.
Let the ones, who never did anything wrong, cast the first stone.
So every year another team.
What crappy team are you "supporting"?
In that movie there's a scene where Anthony Kiedis (if I'm not mistaken) shoots himself in the foot because he's being sandwished between a door and a wall
It's better he leaves town. It will ruin his season and the whole Broncos team spirit
I hope she comes back too.
The women's tennis will have regained 2 great competitors.
The Williams sisters should be afraid, very afraid.
Hunterlaar went to Stuttgart or Hamburg. Or is at least leaning heavily towards germany
Miami will end up with almost the same roster as last year.
They only got departures and no incoming players.
I fear for the Heat fans that Wade won't stay for long
I have to make a correction to the statement you wrote a little bit Higher
Adu NEVER played at Standard, it was Gooch who played there. Gooch played in the UEFA CUP and in the Champions League QUALIFIERS, not the tournament itself.
Adu even never played in Belgium. I should know, I'm freakin' belgian.
I'm sorry to say it guys but I think most of american players (and especially Adu) are overrated.
I'ts not because you had a good run in a world cup (7 years ago by the way) and at the recent tournament that the US can win the world cup now.
The US beat Italy and Spain because they caught them off-guard and those national teams where too confident.
What was the score again in the final off the Gold Cup again? 5-0 for F*** Mexico who didn't win against the US in more than a decade. Why? The US got too confident.
We belgians know it of experience. We played the European Cup finals in 84 (lost against France) and the semi finals in the 86 World Cup (lost against Argentina). We had a very good team at that time but it was finished after that because of retirements and lack of results.
We only now are starting to get back hope because we have a lot of young talent.
We are not braging about it too much (not like you americans) because we first want to see some results.
The problem in all sports today is that people intend to idolise guys at a very young age, saying that they are "the special one". And if the kid hasn't the correct entourage, he's starting to act like a brat, asking huge salaries while he never showed something significant on the field.
The only two athletes who came from high school and made a direct impact (and whom I really respect for their achievements) are Kevin Garnett and LeBron James. Those two lived up to the expectations and beyond. A special mention goes to Phelps as well you know ...
Sure, the town loves them ... but for howlong? Do you think the fans will come in mass after a few years of mediocrity? I don't think that. I think, that's what you saw the last years in Seattle (and what you see with the Clippers and the Grizzlies).
And the management knows that too. That's why a week or two ago, you saw a post saying that the Thunder would like to draft that player/hero from Oklahoma.
