Crosby will have a game where you don't even notice if he has played (see Game 1 in this series), insane game 2, and then last night, looks as if he is afraid of getting hurt or something.
Will say I think the coverage on him was MUCH better. So, maybe what we might think as him playing different for unknown reasons is him changing his game a bit cause they were on him like white on rice. Therefore was hoping Dan would put the two-headed monster out there a little more often in OT or at all (?) (what do you have to lose?) but will say again, Dan is a ****.
However, I think Vokoun can match up against the Bruins if he stays course. I think he has something to prove. That is if we get out of the current round. Getting a little head of ourselves.
I think if the Rags tighten up, King Henrik could steal a game or two, and make it interesting. But, again, team effort.
And I don't normally complain about anyone diving or penalties in general, so I would like to be spared the "lectures" like I am a five-year old (not towards you). In fact, I have said you have to win despite them.
And I agree, as I said, everyone embellishes. Not surprised when certain players do it. Very surprised when others do. That's all. Wasn't "complaining."
And you know what? If I got hit with one of those sticks? Throwing my head back would be the least of the issues. I would be on the ice crying like a baby, so...I don't care if they throw their heads back. LOL! ;)
That was being described during the game. I think we are talking about two different plays? The play you are talking about Karlsson slashed Cooke's stick, but broke his own. Play I am takling about and Sens fan is talking about, Cooke tried to swat puck out of air, and hit Karlsson in face. Stupid? Yes. Intentional? No, IMHO. If Cooke had gotten a penalty, i wouldn't have a problem with it, but damn, people acting like Sens were choir boys out there...not the f'in case.
And I am not saying some embelishment doesn't happen in every game, and especially the playoffs. If Karlsson thinks he can give his team a leg up, so be it. But I hate it when I see a player (ANY, even on my own team) get touched and act like he got hit with a bullet. A LOT of players are guilty of it... on every team!
Anderson played out of his mind. Pens should be scared, and kicking themselves for their stupidity last night. Although Byslma is a total tool. I said in the beginning Sens shouldn't be taken lightly.
Yep, that is exactly what I am saying. Karlsson should stop diving. He is a good player, and is a class act. But now is getting a reputation for diving. This isn't about Malkin. This isn't about the Pens diving either. Malkin hasn't been diving this series, and Cooke tried to swat the puck out of the air (if we are talking about the same play).
Calls were missed on both sides. Try not to act that the Sens were being robbed of calls. Not the case.
Well, not really considering he got called for a dive last night. I think he should keep it up, and I hope they call it everytime. He gets a hand on his shoulder, and he acts like he got shot.
They wil, cause the Pens can't have it ANY OTHER WAY.
Any other team would have buried the win last night. Not the Pens. Just had to keep puck possession for 30 seconds and grind it out. Didn't have to score, etc.
Bylsma puts out a line that is his PP unit knowing they would pull their goalie. Bylsma = fail, especially if that game was a series changer.
The Yups are the ones who can afford the ridiculous-priced ticks and boxes. And they make up, maybe, 25% of the crowd. Too much, imho.
I go to a decent amount of games per year. Did when they were played in the Civic Arena, as well. I will say that even when it is loud down there, it doesn't translate on t.v, but damn...the crowd could be doing a better job.
I think it is more "pins and needles" than excitement sometimes in these games.

But I was TOLD to drop it, so don't be getting out your wooden spoon. ;)
Here was my original post relating to the discussion, and it was made in jest (not really a serious comment), but taken very serious:
"Karlsson is doing his best for the Academy Award though.
Nice kid, and a good player, but for his own sake he needs to tone down the acting."
I don't think it came off as whining or complaining, but that is the thing about perception...

He should have taken the high road and said nothing, but once again, he can't help himself. So, he looks no better than Ovie.
Regarding the Pens, they better get their act together 5 on 5. Can't count on the PP goals to lift them every game.
