You know it's playoff time in Montreal when the police are literally begging people not to make them arrest them, or congregate in public. Means the same thing in Montreal.

For the point being made, they needed to be classified as British. I know very well where SAF and Moyes hail from, along with Brendan Rodgers :)

He was always the wrong hire. It was like making the middle manager CEO of Goldman Sachs. He was always overrated at Everton by the masturbatory British press who looooooove when one of their own can be bandied about as some sort of genius (because it never happens anymore). Everton played well and it was because of Moyes; Everton played poorly and it was because the players let Moyes down. So he goes to United and the team that 12 months ago won the Prem by a landslide is suddenly not even good enough for top 4? He can only blame the players for so long until someone smells the BS.

Mourinho was the only choice and Ferguson made a hash of it and now the Glazers are left to pick up the pieces. They better hope Klopp is willing to leave Dortmund.

Such short memories around here these days.

Don't be so quick to throw up the flag on Chicago. Remember when the Wings were up 3-1 on them? 2-0 is a cakewalk for this team, even without Seabrook.

Atleti or Chelsea today?

Yeah I was gonna bail out on this one so thanks for not leaving the poor guy hanging. :)

I really think their cost savings are going to come on the blue line. And it probably should, too.

PM does.

They did their dive in March. One very, very long one.

You gotta change course at some point. I can think of at least one team that would pay a kings ransom for Eric...

Are you saying they might not find a taker for Jordan given he makes $6 mil/yr?

I can't see Eric sticking around for another rebuild. He's too good of a player to not be on the big stage. Missing the Olympics probably wasn't the best feeling, either.

Typical Habs fans - plotting ways to jettison their players while their team is up 3-0 in a playoff series.

2004-ish Lohan. I'll take that.

Were you holding the "Perry the Fairy" sign, by any chance? :)

Daley was a thorn in Getz/Perry's sides all night.

FWIW, I think Carolina gets absolutely dismantled this summer, including both Staals headed out the door and even Skinner. Time has come.

You can't trade actual currency. You can hold back contract value (ie Luongo), which would become null once the player is bought out anyway.

As for the whole scheme, yes I think you can indeed trade a player and have the other team buy that guy out. But like I said, the buyout money would have to come from the destination team's coffers.

Not as bad, definitely. But you could definitely see the Sharks as the stronger of the two. I'm guessing they get to the semis before Chi/STL do the inevitable.
