If you look at the published attendance figures, it doesn't appear as though the fans care. They are last in attendance. That doesn't tell me they support the team.
If Atlanta goes out 1st round again, no one will EVER take them serious.
I heard as of Monday morning there were still close to 11K tickets available for this weekend's game, so apparently their own fans don't take them seriously.
Selling the team to Chris Hansen would accomplish two goals - getting a team back in the Emerald City AND getting the Maloof's out of the NBA. Win - Win. And actually it would also allow David Stern to save some face for allowing the Sonics to be hijacked and moved to OKC.
Ibanez lives in the Seattle area and loves it there. Plus it's a low risk move on management's part since it's only for one year. But I still feel there are one or two more moves left on Jack Z's plate that will soon occur. He's known for keeping things close to the vest. I don't believe too many were aware that Morales was on his radar.
The fans are rightfully upset that it's taken this long to turn this ship around. But they have been putting together a nice nucleus of younger players and Ibanez and Bay are seen as more veteran presence as they move forward.
But it would be nice to have more than two good teams - Seahawks and Sounders - in the city.
If I were the Cubs, I'd back off on the negotiations. You're right, the Sox have no leverage. They don't want Theo back. They are in a lame duck situation and they will lower their demands to get this deal done.
Brad Childress - the anti-Bill Belichick. He has the offensive weapons to compete in the NFC North but he's hurting the teams' chances by sticking with the washed-up Brett Favre. Why the heck didn't the team draft a QB this past year and start grooming him to lead this team?
It's about time Childress grew a pair. All I can add is that the other 31 head football coaches would have yanked Favre out of the starting lineup a long time ago because he's killing the team. 10 interceptions thrown already? C'mon, Brad. I thought you were the head coach, not Brett's butt-boy.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen
