list of trash huh? Arenas, Bibby, Jefferson, Igoudala and Terry are all in the top 15 for their positions right now. Yeah Elliott was 20 years ago but that just shows the longevity of the program. Too call it trash is the haterade working at its best

Also, UofA didn't get ASU leftovers, it was clear Bejarano didn't want to play in the slow ASU offense so Sendek pulled out so it wouldn't look like AZ beat him out for another hometown recruit.

Why not? If Xavier is the hotbed for making college coaches why would I not expect Miller to carry on the success of AZ?? If O'Neill and Pennell can do it I most certainly believe that a Xavier made coach in Miller can do it too.

Parrom is the only kid who was committed to Xavier and then left. The other 2 were interested in Xavier thanks to Miller taking them to a couple of Elite 8s and they follwed a good coach to a better program. Its not like he is bringing all of Xavier with him to play at AZ. He has 2 kids for this year and one for 2010. So 2 out of about 7 guys who are comitted to AZ for this or next year were considering Xavier and one was committed. Thats not exactly raiding Xaviers recruits.

ASU's success as of late can be attributed to James Harden and James Harden only. They couldn't beat UofA without him before and look for a Wildcat sweep this year as well.

You are just proving my point. Winning an A-10 championship is way different then trying to go to the ACC and beat the Dukes and North Carolina's of the world. The winning percentages are similar but now those winning percentages are not good enough to win the conference. All those coaches were great coaches at the smaller school they coached at, those schools didn't make them that way. Same with Miller, he was a good coach who carried on a good tradition at Xavier and now he will carry on another at AZ.

He wanted to go to Harvard but the family has 3 kids in private school and Harvard does not offer full athletic scholarships. Basically the financial aid he would recieve was not enough.

Bop Gun, I agree that Miller didn't build Xaviers program, but a couple of elite 8 visits is nothing to sneeze at. If all he did was continue on the tradition at X why cant UofA fans expect the same at AZ who's tradition is a little more prominent than Xaviers. The guy pulled a top 15 class [b]AFTER[/b] the signing period. As far as the alumni go, how is Miles Simon the one name you pick out of that list. How about, Kerr, Elliot, Walton, Bucheler and Bison Dele. (all have rings) We have more all-stars than Xavier has players in the NBA. To compare the NBA talent from the 2 schools is laughable

Thats a nice little stat there JD, but you have to consider where they went. Who would expect to win the same amount of games going from the A-10 to the powerhouse conferences of the Big-10 and the ACC. And didn't Matta take OSU to a championship game?? I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure he was there with Oden and Conly Jr. Nobody expects Miller to make UofA a top 10 team next year, we expect them to be just as competitive as we have always been and we expect another bid to the Big Dance.

Every other day it seems like Mir is doing something to try and keep his name relevant after the beating he took from Brock. He does have a point, its one thing to have been injured and sick and its another to make it a point that everyone knows you were sick and injured. If you are healthy enought to get into the cage at all then you were healthy enough to win, simple as that, no excuses.

Funny how you put guys out there like Hughes (lost to a top 3 fighter in the world), Tito (lost to chuck in his prime and the LHW champ, and Sherk (who in his prime was unstoppable unless your name is BJ Penn.) What about guys like Dan Henderson, or up and comer Shane Carwin. How about Josh Koschek or gatekeeper Clay Guida. Not all of them are at the top like Brock but they are all just as decorated at the wrestling level and are beating up guys with "better all-around skills."

If I recall, Randy got knocked out cold 2X thanks to Chuck and he went up to face "bigger and stronger guys." Ya he only got the HW belt out of it. Let Chuck do what he wants, sure he doesn't have anything left to prove but who are we to tell him no you cant compete in the sport you helped put on the map b/c u r on a losing streak.
