I really hate this one. Was looking forward to seeing Mitchell on the field this year. The kids an absolute playmaker. Hopefully he heals up well and we see him on the field in 14.
Hmmmm, well let's see. A fan being optimistic about their team next year??? Doesn't exactly put me in the minority now does it??? That aside, let me give you my reasoning.
Replacing a 4 year starter at QB is definitely not a recipe for success but here is how I see it. We will have ALOT more balance on offense this year. The RB cupboard was pretty bare last year, but luckily it's been replenished. We still have skill guys coming out the wazzu, so playmakers on the outside should keep opposing defenses respectably honest. Hopefully the OL picks up their game, if that happens then we should be pretty effective on offense. Last year they had a horrible year.
All we have to be is a little bit better on D, and that alone will make a tremendous difference. Anymore strides than that, and it bodes very well for us. I do have concern about our back 4 from a perspective of experience.
Am I saying we will win 10 games??? No, but I think we can. You may have played the "homer" card a little too soon there.
Yep. We have 6 leftover from this year. That will give us 21 for next season between early enrollee's and the regular class. One of the primary things that it offers recruits, is the chance for immediate playing time. If you are a big time recruit looking at high profile universities, it definitely has appeal. Not a bad situation for any head coach.
