Anytime a wife or mother is mentioned on these threads, it's not good. This is no exception. On the outside looking in, it's really sad to see a coach who has accomplished what Bowden has, to look like this. Very sad.

With all due respect there JR. I saw the froggies in person this year. Granted it was against San Diego St. But being the football guy I am, came away very impressed. I think they give anyone in the country a hell of a time this year. Don't think anyone beats them by double digits, if they beat them at all.

Nice. Using a poll as your basis. How about the team who is in 4th in the Pac-10 went on the road, and beat the BEST TEAM in the Big 10. It's easy for teams in the big 12, acc, and big east to be ranked in the top 10. Seeing as their conferences ****. Outside of fla and ala, the sec is nowhere near as strong as it has been in recent years. That's my deal.

And nobody with a brain is suggesting we should be in the discussion for the NC. Past years the argument could be made. This year??? Absolutely not. Next year??? We shall see.

We are not picking up Konerko. Like we give a rats ass if its a salary dump for the sox. We have a first baseman who produces at a third of the cost. Keeping our money to re-sign Figgins (and maybe Lackey) is our priority. Not a washed up, overpaid guy like Konerko.

He has taken his lumps the last few weeks for sure. I think the sky is the limit for him, just obviously not right now. I do think the next few years will be damn good for him. I think the most impressive thing about him so far is he doesn't seem to get rattled. Mistakes he is making this year (reads, holding the ball to long) he won't next year.
