Nationally, 42% of DUI crashes are caused by males age 21-34 ??? the exact same demographic as most NFL players. On average, there are 14 DUI arrests for NFL players on a given year out of about 2000 players (including the practice squads). This means that 0.7% of NFL players are arrested for DUI. On the other hand, 1.6% of males age 20 to 29 will face DUI charges. Thus, NFL players actually fair better than the general population.
