Btw, I think Harrison should keep his mouth shut, unless it's open to thank Brady for any SB rings Harrison has accumulated.
You've gotta be kidding me with this post.
And its fairly hypocritical that everyone is up in arms of Manny juicing, when you elected the King of the Juiceheads himself to be your governor. Maybe he and Manny can get together to compare roid cycling and the pros/cons of gynecomastia.
And youre right..out **** doesnt stink, and NYC is the center of the universe.
As for who the Yanks and Red Sox are...they are the two teams that combined have won 6 of the past 13 World Series. That's why, if you're a baseball fan., on either coast, you ought to pay attention to them. The road to the WS runs through the AL East.
NOw, Im a huge Jets fan and have no probs ripping the Jets myself for their history and stupid moves. But when this guy calls Jets fans ignorant...as compared to whom, the Cuban refugees and Haitian boat people who over-populate Miami? I suppose maybe if the Dolphins had played beter during Taylor's tenure, the Dolphins might have sold out their stadium and Jets fans may not have been able to get tickets, so he wouldnt have heard the chats. But he should be happy..at least he could understand the Jets fans..the Miami fans would have been chanting in Spanish or Creole.
I mean, if owners want a salary cap, they should collectively bargain for one. If the fans want one, they should stop going to games, stop watching on TV, stop buyiong the baseball package, and stop buying MLB merchandise until owners and advertisers have to listen and institute a cap. Until that time, the Yanks are simply operating within the rules of baseball by utilizing their resources to get FA's to play in NY- it's no different that the Padres or Braves using the fact that their cities are nice places to live to get players to come there, or a Florida team using the fact that there is no income tax in the state. Each team is able to use a distinct advantage to get players- for the Yanks, it hap;pens to be that they are in the biggest market and therefore have the biggest revenue. And lets not also forgot that when Geortge bought this team from CBS for what, $10 million in 1972, the franchise was in terrible financial shape, the team was awful...and he built it to what it is today, an organization that can spend $200 mill on player salary and still turn a profit.
So no, I dont understand your problem with the Yankess or "everything they represent in America".
Btw, Andrew could step up and give some of the money back. That's what Lyman Bostock tried to do back in 1978 after he signed with the Angels for a huge (back then) contract and then proceeded to hit .147 in April. When the owner refused the refund, he donated it to charity. I think Andrew's salary is being donated to Krispy Kreme. Of course, Bostock didnt have a crook like Boras as his agent.
