Posted Saturday March 02, 2013, About: Woman files paternity suit against Michael Jordan
She waited this long to file suit because he had been supporting the kid. She must have filed suit because he stopped or was advised that he was underpaying. He knows the kid and is in pictures with him, so it's unlikely she made this up. It's so easy to prove. All she has to do is get a court ordered test of his DNA and the kid's DNA and it's determined whether or not he is the father. If he is he has to pay child support. Happens all the time.
Posted Friday March 01, 2013, About: Rose drama contributing to Bulls blues
It makes no sense for him to come back this season. What's the point? They aren't going to, all of a sudden, gel into the best team they can be. They aren't going to beat the Heat in a 7 games series, if they even got that far. He is very young and has a long career ahead of him, so why not make sure that his knee is completely sound. It was a terrible injury. If this had been 15 years ago, he would have been finished. I think the Bulls are taking the long view here, thank goodness.
Posted Thursday February 21, 2013, About: Source on Gordon: 'Nobody wants him'
He has either been hurt or discontented during the majority of his career. He's one of those players, like Montae Ellis, that is good at basketball, but not good for a basketball team.
Posted Sunday October 17, 2010, About: Does Cubs delay signal Girardi interest?
I think the reason Joe Girardi would be interested in managing the Cubs is that he came up through their system, graduated from Northwestern University (8 miles from downtown Chicago), he has family in the area and he grew up in Illinois. I think he'd like the challenge, to be honest. I also think that dealing with the NY media and lifestyle as the Yankees manager is not something he enjoys. He's said as much on several occasions. I still think they will make Sandberg the manager though. He approached the organization 5 years ago about getting involved and managing someday and they said "OK go to the minors". He started in the low minors and is now the AAA manager. He's won big at each level, so he's done what they asked. He knows the young players, etc. We'll see in a couple weeks.
Posted Monday October 11, 2010, About: Bulls looking into cause of Boozer's injury
He doesn't have a reputation as a guy who gets into trouble so I think we ought to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he had hurt in a fight or hitting a woman (the pro athlete version of a fight) it would have come out by now.
Posted Saturday October 09, 2010, About: Iverson close to signing with Turkish club
He ran himself out of the league, he's broke and his wife left him. Hopefully he will take care of his gambling and drinking problems and save some money.
Posted Saturday October 09, 2010, About: Rubio one year from joining T-Wolves?
I've seen Rubio play live and stood next to him on the court in warmups when I was living in Europe. He is truly 6'4" not "listed" at 6"4" like NBA players who are really 6"1" (see Shannon Brown). His arms hang down to his knees, he plays defense like he's possessed and can run an offense like a veteran. Oh, and I forgot, he was 15 at the time I saw him and he's better and stronger now at, yes, 19 years old. Every single NBA player that has played against him says he is an excellent player, including Kobe who basically dislikes everyone who is not on his team. You'll only be able to tell when he plays in the league which he is going to do. Then you'll know. In the meantime, ask yourself if you really dislike him because you think he stinks or because you don't like foreign players. Then ask yourself, what it was like when your relatives came to America. Nobody liked them either, you can bet on that. Fortunately, people who think like that aren't really taken too seriously anymore. He can play.
