At KU, like most perennial winners, anything less than a conference title, final four, or national title is often considered an underperformance. Those are pretty high standards, especially in today's college basketball world.

10 years is a long time these days. I wonder if it is voidable at some point prior to 10 years, b/c if they ever go a stretch of a few bad seasons KU will probably be looking for someone new.

don't cut Zook any slack. he is a terrifica recruiter and should stick with that. his game day coaching is terrible.

kep in mind this is the same guy who could only win 8 games with a Florida team that won a national championship with mostly Zook recruits. urban meyer did a terrific job, but most of the players were recruited by zook, yet he could never win with them.

unfortunately, it looks like illinois is in for the same kind of disappointment. great recruting classes and not enough W's

that's a big gamble. maybe he goes to college and doesn't adjust well to the college lifestyle. maybe he finds it harder to get more sophisticated batters to chase pitches. a lot can happen in 3 years. nothing is guaranteed that he will move up at all.

he could;ve taken $1 million now, and if he's smart with it, that will provide him money for life. meanwhile boras has 50 other million dollar clients. he doesn't care if this kid makes it, he's got plenty to fall back on.

this kid is risking a ton and might not ever get this opportunity again. i wish him luck at UNC, but i sure would;'ve taken the money

the NCAA rule is 1 year for division 1 football programs. Most conferences require an inter-conference transfer to sit out an additional year UNLESS the player's previous school signs a release allowing him to play after only one year. i'm assuming, although i do not know for certain, the pac-10 is in this majority since it is a major bcs conference

it's designed to prevent inter-conference "stealing" of players

IF he transfers, it will be out of conference. transferring to another pac-10 school would mean he would have to sit out 2 years instead of just one if he transfers out of conference.

interesting that everybody is saying vick is guilty, gulty, guilty, and yet the league has not suspended him.

goodell has not been afraid to suspend pacman and tank johnson. he suspended them based on arrests and other off the field incidents without further investigation by the NFL.

but here, he hired an independent investigator who has been working on it for almost a month now and no suspension.

maybe the investigation has found facts that support vick's claim of innocence?

none of those things have been proven. they are simply alleged in the complaint. even if they are proven to be true, you have just established that there were dogs who fought, not that vick was in any way involved.

this of course is if the witness is credible, which we know absolutely nothing about. they could e the most unbelievable witness in the world.
