Posted Sunday January 08, 2012, About: USC RB transferring to Notre Dame
I would guess he and his family felt that he would not see any action due to the level of competition at SC. This combined with the lack of scholarships available to the football team would translate to approx. $50,000 per year bill that his parents would need to pay out of pocket. Notre Dame has more scholarships available, and maybe he feels he could earn one there.

I realize that neither team is ranked, but in all honesty this may be one of the most competitive games in the history of the rivalry. In recent games Notre Dame has been so bad it was embarrassing, but I believe they have gotten better throughout this year. This could be a really good game....if the Trojans win,of course....

The USC Offense will do just fine. The defense will be the question mark.I like USC's chances @ home against this Duck team.I think it is perfect timing that the Gods of Football have brought the Ducks in at number one at this time and place to be humbled by the Trojans...Fight On !!!

There is such a thing as Return on Investment or ROI.When I looked at their past football record they do not appear to be such a good investment. In the perfect college sports world the football program could and should fund all other sports with maybe the exception of a strong basketball program. That being said I recommend shorting the Golden Gophers especially this coming weekend and going long the USC Trojans.Immediately after this weekend unwind this trade and buy long term calls on the Goper basketball program.

Utah has been underrated for a long time -- a welcome addition to the PAC-10.
Posted Thursday September 02, 2010, About: Kiffin a short-timer at USC, too?
If what you have said is in fact true then many teams records would need to be examined and other trophies redistributed not to mention bowl victories by teams who may or may not have made it to their final game. The ripple effect of all these voided victories or losses would need to be taken into account.....but you know something ? ---that does not happen. It never has happened and it never will.If the BCS declares a new National Champion then you would be partially correct....but they have not and will not.Once again it is a symbolic gesture.Oh and by the way there is no such thing as a Palapa tree...P.S. Go Red Sox !!!
Posted Thursday September 02, 2010, About: Kiffin a short-timer at USC, too?
I am really not sure why the author of this vague and unsubstantiated article still has a job writing for CBSsports. An interesting fact which was not mentioned was Pat Hadens' crucial role in recruiting Coach Kiffin. The man has not even had one season as head coach and truly does not deserve this degree of acrimony.I think if I were to make a prediction it would be that one year from now CBSsports will continue to lose market share to the Disney owned ESPN,and I will even give a real reason......BECAUSE THEY ARE MORONS !!!!
Posted Thursday September 02, 2010, About: Kiffin a short-timer at USC, too?
Giving up a trophy is a symbolic gesture.I am quite certain that when I watch ESPN Classic USC will still win all those games that they were credited with winning. All the teams that lost to USC will still have lost....the only punishment that matters is loss of scholarships and no post-season play.In answer to your question USC will have won all the titles that they have won....you really can't change the past trophies or no trophies.
Posted Tuesday August 31, 2010, About: Brown: Nebraska has nation's best fans
I would just like to highlight that USC fans are the most gracious in complimenting other fans.It is a well known fact that Trojans are the most judicious and wise fans in college football, and will not hesitate to give kudos to those who have earned them.

They cloned Tom Osborne ??? -- wicked smart good move.

My new policy this year is to say only positive things about the Vols....I always dug that Purina Dog Chow endzone thing...very cool.

A 3 yard pass ?? Really ?? --- What chance does anyone have against such an offensive threat ?? -- This must surely be a slow news day for sportswriters.Hey !! I heard the Defensive Backs at Oregon State are running 40 yd sprints...isn't someone going to cover this ??
Posted Thursday August 26, 2010, About: A new No. 1 back at USC?
I Hate to be a Hater, but I sincerely hope that every team you support this season loses miserably. In fact I hope you bet on these teams and lose a load of cash.....so there....I feel better now....nothing personal.

Who says that USC is out of the picture in the PAC-10 ?? -- It is far more likely that USC wins the PAC-10 than Berkley. You are confused a little on the sanctions as they apply so please let me enlighten you.If USC defeats most of the PAC-10 teams they play then they "WIN" the PAC-10.It is true that we would not then proceed to the Rose Bowl nor any bowl this year. This has nothing to do with dominating ones own conference as USC commonly does. The school will still play 13 games, still get paid including its share of Pac-10 bowl appearances, and will still be televised.USC is not required to forfeit any games in advance and the universities opponents will still count a defeat at the hands of the Trojans as a loss in regard to their respective BCS standings.Out of the picture ??.....I don't think so.

Let him go....if you want to be a Trojan be one -- If you don't then get out.It is about time to put down the pom-poms and get out on the field with the men.
