Another point of clarification: UCLA hasn't had problems like U$C because it avoids guys like this. U$C is just following UCLA's lead on this one, which I have to give Floyd kudos for.

Let's clarify: U$C has been under scrutiny recently for recruiting violations (see: Reggie Bush and OJ Mayo), UCLA has not.

Well, UCLA had a better coaching staff before the inevitable departure of DeWayne Walker. Seriously, does NMSU hire every UCLA defensive coach that shows promise?

The QB of UCLA's future is Chris Forcier, not Kevin Craft. He's very mobile (needed with UCLA's weak O-line) and has a cannon arm. Not sure if this Brehaut guy will be able to compete with Forcier.

What he meant was that by coming out this year, Dirty Sanchez doesn't have to compete against McCoy, Bradford and Tebow in THE DRAFT this year. With those guys staying in schoo, now he moves up in the draft order to be the #1 or #2 QB selected, whereas next year he'll be somewhere around the #5 QB range, if not lower. By coming out this year, he will be a certain first round pick with guaranteed millions due to the weak draft pool.

The problem with that is that UCLA has no running game either. Had 38 rushing yards TOTAL in its first two games, including 9 against BYU. NINE!

I think the real issue here is that Craft is, for no better term, expendable. UCLA's offensive line is like swiss cheese and it's only a matter of time until he gets injured. Meanwhile, he's keeping Chris Forcier healthy on the bench, someone who has a future as a good UCLA quarterback.
