I think the Ducks sacrificing Ryan would be just as ridiculous as Staal being moved. If this is what the asking price really is, a deal won't happen for Sundin.

The problem with that boston is all but Lecavlier have no trade clauses, and Vincent isn't going anywhere. It would be nice if the GM would be able to make a move and nab a scoring forward to pair with Richards, or make something out of the ridiculous state of the blueline. Boyle being out hurts this squad.

This guy has really earned my respect this year. He just told the newspaper that his team needs start playing hard, and who disagrees with him? They're 8th in the west. Schneider is not getting moved, the McDonald trade created enough cap room for them the rest of the year, and any problems on this squad is not his fault.

Cheechoo is still a young winger with some room to grow. Kicking him out now would simply be foolish. What could they get in return for him, draft picks? I don't expect the Pens to be willing to move Staal.

Of course its a defensemen that's moving. About the only forwards they can afford to move are checking/defensive ones and that hardly helps the Isles at this point. I still think the best option is Atlanta getting Schneider for some young potential offensive weapon. Enstrom and Schneider on the blueline together would be intriguing.

I still think he is the best defensemen in the game, it would be a shame to see him go. Selanne has all ready stated that if he is going to play this year, it would only be in Anaheim despite being an UFA.

RP- Uh have you seen the new value for guards this offseason? Hutch was a steal. Also, not Brohme or Brennan in purple. They traded into the second to get Jackson for a reason. They won't give up on him so quick.

That said, no way Pat gets a lucrative long term deal, though I hope the Vikes hold onto him.
