Posted Friday September 11, 2009, About: Meyer: NFL coaches afraid of spread offense
We should have some sort of round robin format with Florida, USC, Oklahoma and Texas playing against the Patriots, Steelers, Colts, Chargers, Giants, Cowboys etc. and see for ourselves if the best college teams can compete against the best teams the NFL has to offer and the games will be on a nertual site. And I believe if that were to happen, then college teams like Florida, USC, Oklahoma and Texas won't stand a chance against teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Colts, Chargers, Giants, Cowboys etc. because those NFL teams are bigger, faster and stronger than any of the rosters of these college teams.
Posted Thursday September 10, 2009, About: Meyer: NFL coaches afraid of spread offense
If Urban Meyer is so concern about NFL teams not running the spread offense, he should then not schedule games against the "Charleston Southern" of the world on his non-conference schedule. Instead Meyer should schedule games against the Patriots, Steelers, Colts, Giants, Cowboys etc. Then Meyer should comeback to us and explain to us why Tebow got smack around like a rag doll in these games. And by then Meyer will realize why his version of the spread offense won't work against NFL teams.
Posted Thursday May 28, 2009, About: Nugget: Lakers bought Game 5 win
Message to the Denver Nuggets: Shut Up!!!! Stop moaning and goaning about the officials when your team plays tight and self destructed in big spots in close games in the 4th quarter like we have seen in this series against the Lakers. The same thing happen to the Sacramento Kings against the Lakers in '02. Like the Nuggets, the Kings play tight and self destructed in big spots in the 4th quarter against the Lakers. So the Nuggets have nobody to blame but themselves for being down 3-2 because the clearly play tight and self destructed in big spots in close games in the 4th quarter in this series against the Lakers.
Posted Tuesday April 28, 2009, About: Time to break up disappointing Sharks?
Joe Thorton is the A-Rod of the NHL. Puts up great stats in the regular season, but doesn't show up in the playoffs. The Sharks have to think about trading Thorton because he doesn't get the job done in a big spot in the playoffs PERIOD!!!!
Posted Tuesday April 28, 2009, About: NFL draft getting bigger in 2010?
The entire 1st round of the NFL draft is long to begin with. If the NFL wants to have just the entire 1st round in primetime, by only giving teams 5 minutes, the pace would be much faster.
Posted Tuesday April 28, 2009, About: NFL draft getting bigger in 2010?
The NFL should consider giving teams just 5 minutes to make thier pick in the 1st round in the draft. This way the draft would have a better pace and things would get done very quickly in the 1st round.
Posted Friday March 27, 2009, About: Daytona date change likely
If the NFL decides to expand the schedule to 17 or 18 games, then it affects the schedules for all the other sports in February. The NBA would have to move the All-Star Game to another date. Nascar would have to move the Daytona 500 to another date. And another sporting event that could be effect is the Winter Olympics. I know the Winter Olympics is held every 4 years. But if the NFL does expand the schedule to 17 or 18 games and push the Super Bowl to President's Day weekend, how does the NFL and/or the IOC able to juggle their schedules around a Olympic year in February would make it compulicated.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Cowboys interested in Ray Lewis
Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and Bart Scott are all free agents. The Ravens can't keep all 3. My guess is the Ravens will put the franchise tag on Suggs and either Lewis or Scott will leave. If Lewis signs with the Cowboys, him and T.O. on the same team will cause some chaos.
Posted Saturday January 10, 2009, About: Redskins eyeing Panthers' Gross
The Panthers will have a very tough decision to make. Both Jordan Gross and Julius Peppers are going to be free agents at the end of this season. The Panthers can put the franchise tag on only one of them. This is going to be a tough call for the Panthers. Offensive tackles and Pass rushing Defensive Lineman are very important positions in the NFL.
Posted Saturday December 27, 2008, About: Why Red Sox won't OK Rangers trade
Right Now the Red Sox have no catchers. Their farm system does not have anyone who can play in the Major Leagues in 2009. They can re-sign Vatriek and sign a back-up for next year. Of if they don't re-sign Vartiek, then the Red Sox would have to trade one of thier top propsects for Saltalamacchia or Teagarden of Texas or Montero of Arizona. So far the Rangers want pitching in return for their catchers and the D-Backs want prospects in return for Montero and the Red Sox refuse to do either. Sooner or later the Red Sox are going to need a catcher.
Posted Wednesday September 10, 2008, About: Schilling rips Jets fans
Curt Schilling needs to watch his mouth. He already lost his creditable after he basically bracktrack what he said about steriods in SI to Congress in 2005, in my opinion. He hasn't pitch all year, yet he likes to used his big mouth wheither on the radio or on his blog. Curt complain that Jets fans were cheering that Tom Brady is out for the season. Hey Curt, every team in the AFC was cheering the fact that Brady tore his ACL in his left knee and is out for the season, including the Jets. So Schilling should worry about baseball instead of football.
Posted Saturday August 02, 2008, About: Pierce: I'm world's best player
Pierce said that he's better than Kobe, then why is Kobe playing on the US Olympic team and Pierce is not? Pierce didn't even crack the top 12. And let's not forget that Pierce was on the US team that finish 6th at the World Championship in 2002.

Ian Poulter and the europeans can win all the Ryder Cup if they want, But when it comes to Major Championships, other than Padraig Harrington, Poulter and euros have spit the bit.
Posted Saturday July 26, 2008, About: Brushback stokes Joba-Youkilis feud
Red Sox pitchers have been throwing at Yankees batters left and right. Now all of a sudden the Yanks start throwing at Red Sox batters especially Youkilis and the Red Sox are alll btiching and moaning about it. I don't want to heard the Red Sox complaining because their pitchers have been throwing at Yankees batters left and right. And now that the Yanks are doing it they are complaining. Stop whining about it .
Posted Friday July 18, 2008, About: Pelz: Tiger was lucky to win Open
Message to Dave Pelz, SHUT UP!!!! Stop making excuses for Phil Mickelson. Tiger play with a torn ACL and 2 broken bones in his leg. Your guy Mickelson would have sit out with the injuries that Tiger had. And when Mickelson pair with Tiger at the US Open for the first 2 rounds, he spit the bit. And yesterday Mickelson was 9 over par in the 1st round of the British Open.
Posted Monday July 14, 2008, About: CBS to replace Billy Packer
Ok you anti-Billy Packer fans. You got what you wish for in getting Packer out of CBS. So go celebrate this all you want. I don't know how Clark Kellogg will do with Jim Nantz. Let's see how that plays out. But Packer will be miss .
Posted Sunday July 06, 2008, About: All-Star Game starters revealed
If baseball wants to put home field advantage for the World Series on the line for the All-Star game they need to do 3 things.
1, People complain about the fan ballot. If you don't like the fan ballot, then have a All-Star game committee decide the starters and reserves. The fans voted for their favorite players, not by who did what the 1st half of the season for the most part.
2. Get rid of the rule in which every team needs to represented. This way the more deserve players get in.
3. Instead of having the managers whose teams were in the World Series, the managers with the best record by July 4 in both leagues be the managers. In this case the AL will be manage by Joe Maddon of the Rays and Lou Piniella of the Cubs will manage the NL.
Posted Sunday July 06, 2008, About: All-Star Game starters revealed
Folks, if you don't like the way the All-star voting process works, then get everybody to sign a petion to have a All-Star game committee select the starters and reserves for the AL and NL. One thing I would like to see is not have every team be represented at the All-Star game. If you are going to put Home field advantage for the World Series on the line, then get rid of having every team be repsented.
Posted Sunday July 06, 2008, About: All-Star Game starters revealed
Majot League Baseball will never take the All-star voting away from the fans. If that were the case, then baseball should form a All-star game committee to select the starters and reserves. The fans voted who they want to see, not on who having a great first half.
Base on his stats, Derek Jeter should not be in the All-star game. But like I said earlier, the fans voted him in. Anti-Yankee fans wouldn't vote for Jeter, Yankees fans will. Plus the All-Star game is in Yankee Stadium this year. You think Yankees fans like me will voted for someone else besides Jeter? No Way.
Can the National League show up for the All-Star game this year? Forget winning it, how about the NL be in the game for once. The AL is 10-0-1 since 1997.
Posted Tuesday June 24, 2008, About: Melrose to coach Lightning
I think Melrose is crazy for leaving his position at ESPN as its NHL guy to come back and coach the Lightining. He hasn't coach in the NHL in 13 years. He led the Kings to the Stanley Cup Finals with help from Wayne Gretzky in 1993. He only coach for 2 1/2 years and has a losing record. I know Melrose wanted to coach again. But he did had chances to come back and coach while he was at ESPN. I know the Rangers in the past have call Melrose.
Posted Saturday June 21, 2008, About: Vijay's remarks anger Casey
Vijay is right, and I'll take it a step further. Euopean players have beatdown the US in the Ryder Cup. But when its comes to Major Championship like The Masters, US Open, British Open and PGA Championship, european players have become SOFT. In the last 35 majors including this year's Masters and US Open, European players have won a total of 1 major. Granted, Tiger has something to do with it with13 majors during that spam. But it still doesn't excuses why european players haven't done well in the majors recently.
