Welcome to my world? You the one saying Tex has been worth that close to 200 million deal when hes made one all star team and his BA is barely .250

Welcome to Dreamland

You guys name one then. Geez,,you make these claims then when called on it you cant even name one when saying the team was full of them

I guess its really tough to get chosen by the manager when youre having a fantastic season. Maybe the manager overlooks a guy while hitting .248

Crawfords not been worth his deal,,,just what ive said obout Tex so that comparison is not working like you wanted

Maybe you guys were right. I just saw that Tex has made 2 all star teams in his career so thats easily worth 180 million contract. Too bad only one of the all star teams were made as a Yank

Whatever. Name them if they have so many

You said they had 200 mill players all over the field. Name them big guy. Thats what I thought.

If he has way more men on base, which is very likely with that Yankee roster, knocking in the same amount of runs is not a good measure of a good season if hes leaving way more men on base because his average has dipped so far. Hes also a lot like Aroid in that hes not the most clutch guy on earth and gets a lot of his production in blowout games.

You cant possibly think the Mets have guys all over their roster making 200 mill. If so, I am done
Posted Wednesday June 12, 2013, About: CC says goodbye to velocity
Because if his BA was even close to 300, his numbers would be incredible playing in that tiny stadium and always having men on base in front of him.

Shell out close to 200 mill to players at every postition and you will have them

I guess hes lucky that his BA being down about 50 points each year is exactly what they signed on to. Not a lot of fans would be as forgiving as you Yankee fans

I agree, but dont you think theyre expecting him to be a star after making him the highest paid player to ever play the position?
Posted Wednesday June 12, 2013, About: CC says goodbye to velocity
Do you think the Ravens will be pleased if Flacco plays as mediocre as Texiera has for the Yankees after they made him the highest paid QB ever? Sure they dont expect thi to eclipse Elway or Montana as the best ever, but they sure as hell expect him to be a star when they make him the highest paid player ever to play the position.

The highest paid player in every sport is a current player. Thats the way it is. Sure Vida Blue after his 71 season wouldve gotten paid more than Sabathia but everyone knows salaries back then were peanuts compared to today.

Making the playoffs with the expanded system they have now is something a team with over a 200 mill payroll is not that tough. Even Yankee fans will say that just making the playoffs in todays system is not worth celebrating

Its not misleading at all. The Dodgers made Greinke one of the highest paid pitchers ever and they should expect him to be in the top 10 in Cy Young voting at least half the time or the guy hasnt lived up to his deal.

Yea, but they were expecting him to contribute the type of numbers he was putting up in TX or they wouldnt have paid him like he was Gehrig.

When he got that contract, wasnt he the highest paid 1st baseman in the history of the sport? If they arent even expecting him to be mentioned in the MVP conversation, like a top 10-15 candidate then they are even more idiotic for dishing it out than I thought.

I dont hear anyone saying that Miguel Cabrera isnt coming close to worth his monster contract. If you play like an MVP candidate, you can earn unreal money and very few will cry that youre not living up to your contract

Could argue? Hes not worth anywhere near the money hes gotten.
