Posted Friday November 06, 2009, About: Williams: 'I'm not a T.O.'
But, much like T.O., Williams got baited by a reporter's question and is paying for his lack of foresight.
Posted Friday October 23, 2009, About: Westbrook wants more touches
It's entirely possible that the Eagles' staff is just looking for that tipping point where they can maximize Westbrooks' utility while still trying to maintain his sometimes fragile health.
Posted Wednesday September 30, 2009, About: Will Panthers dump Fox, Peppers?
I think you can franchise a player in consecutive season so the Panther do have options when it comes to Peppers. Dumping him seems like the best option though. What are they getting one play per million dollars?
Posted Monday September 28, 2009, About: McNabb could return by...
When McNabb returns to his starting position, one of those quarterbacks is going to have to give up that active roster spot. Unless, of course, Vick or Garcia is willing to be a gunner on punt coverage in addition to their backup quarterback roles.
Posted Monday September 28, 2009, About: T.O. about to boil over?
It's kinda sad that it took Owens this long to figure out that since he left SF members of the media ask him questions that, if answered, become the headline for their column on him being a malcontent. Of course, he has no one to blame but himself for actually being a malcontent.
Posted Tuesday September 22, 2009, About: Jets ticked at Moss
A war of words AFTER the game is easily solved: scoreboard.
Posted Monday September 14, 2009, About: Report: McNabb out next week
If McNabb can't go, they need to clear a roster spot so Vick can practice for the next two weeks. Even though he can't play against the Saints, they will need him ready to go when his suspension is over. McCoy and Westbrook need to be well rested this week because ball control is the name of the game against that explosive New Orleans defense.
Posted Saturday September 12, 2009, About: Sources: Tomlin, Steelers talking extension
The story is news worthy because of the message it sends. With two years remaining on his contract, the Rooneys could have decided to see if his success continued rather than reward him now.
Posted Saturday September 12, 2009, About: Ex-Brown: We screwed up not drafting Peterson
This kind of "anti logic" is likely why the person is "a former member of the Browns personnel department". You can create a close facsimile of an All-Pro running back by having an All-Pro tackle. The equation does not, however, work in the reverse direction.

Bring back Runyan!
Posted Wednesday September 09, 2009, About: Culpepper backs Lions QB decision
Schwartz is making a mistake. Culpepper should start and Stafford should debut some time in the second quarter of the season. If the rookie's performance demands that he be benched, it won't be good for his confidence. The ideal situation is fans chanting "Staf-ford! Staf-ford!" while Culpepper is starting the season. This scenario allows for the opposite to happen.
Posted Wednesday September 09, 2009, About: Roethlisberger's accuser offers settlement
Untrue. This may be the quickest and most cost effective way to put this issue behind him. Even if he didn't rape her.
Posted Friday September 04, 2009, About: Vick's return pushing McNabb out?
VIck was definitely not impressive against the nonstarters last night. His seems to not have that clock in his head to let him know when to just get rid of the ball. With no more live action until week three, I can't see how he's a threat to take the starting position.
Posted Tuesday September 01, 2009, About: Stafford last Lions QB standing?
Barbed wire carpet?
Posted Tuesday September 01, 2009, About: Umenyiora walks out on new Giants coordinator
The G-Men have put together a very intimidating defensive line. Very few things can stop its effectivity. This, however, is one of them.
Posted Wednesday August 26, 2009, About: Runyan unlikely to return to Eagles
I dreaded this loss for the Eagles as much as I did Dawkins. Runyan, if as effective as he was at the end of last season, could definitely help shore up the losses on the o-line due to injuries.
Posted Friday August 21, 2009, About: Raiders assistant also warred with Kiffin
Hanson looks like the guy in your office whose ass you would really love to kick. The guy who should thank God every night that you have a mortgage that you need to pay and therefore you resist the temptation to mop the floor with him and then kick his ass for leaving a waxy, yellow buildup.
Posted Friday August 21, 2009, About: T.O. leaks Maybin signing
It seems like you keep that information in the front office if you want it kept secret. Especially with someone on the roster who is known for doing anything in order to garner attention.
Posted Wednesday August 19, 2009, About: Can Cable get his story straight?
Is anyone surprised in the least? It's Al Davis...it the Raiders.
Posted Thursday August 13, 2009, About: Source: Crabtree won't sign until Sept.
It's not a sound practice to sign a first-round pick to a one-year contract. He was drafted in the first round based on the potential for success that the Niners see in him. If somehow Crabtree manages to light it up this year, he will really hold the team hostage next year if he is playing under a one-year contract. The team has to sign him for a long-term deal. If he's a bust, he can be cut. NFL contracts almost always work in the favor of the owners.
Posted Friday August 07, 2009, About: Eli hasn't signed new contract
That look on Eli's face looks like he's stifling a laugh. "I make more than Peyton! . Bwah hahhhh haaaahhhhh...".
