Looks like #1 has been addressed by the signing of Choate. Now whether that's a good thing or bad remains to be seen but a 3 year contract for a 37 year old? That's a head-scratcher.
I'm more concerned with #2 and what they do with that. I'm not sure that Cabrera is worth the Indians asking price and it looks like he's in the process of being part of the next "blockbuster" trade. We shall see
I was lucky enough to be present at the game in Philly in 1982 (he pitched against Lefty and Lefty hit a home run?). Granted I missed most of the game but was able to see Bob pitch later that week in New York!
RIP. Bob! You were one of a kind and I'm honored to have followed your career
Carp hasn't gotten much support from TLR's much lauded "offense" and while I reluctantly agree with much of your post, I think it sucks that Carp may not be resigned because the offense and/or defense refuses to show up when he pitches!
Yes, he will be missed but perhaps he can join the club in a coaching position???
Can't disagree with anything you've said, Ten but I also think Albert is a big key AND a big question mark. I'm thrilled with the way the "youngsters" have shown up but we have a long way to go, especially after this Cincy series!!!
That's about right, Ten........and the bad just keep on coming! Looks like we're without Holliday for a few weeks while he gets healed from his emergency appendectomy today! *sigh*
Agreed, Ten and it looks like they are being taken seriously in the various "power Rankings" so they just need to prove they can do it AT HOME on a consistent basis and they should be good to go!
Well, Adam didn't have his best stuff last night, which sucks, but it's just one game! They'll come back tonight and kick butt, like they are supposed to!
Agreed, Ten! I also hope the the offense that has shown up the last two games sticks around until after the World Series! Pitching hasn't been bad this year but the on again/off again offense drives me nuts!

I'd love to have him coach eventually. Maybe when Dunc retires?
