this isn't baseball we're talking about. you can't just say a guy would fit in with such and such team because there is a salary cap. i don't even think the thunder have much cap space and that goes for atlanta as well...especially for a top talent like wade who will be getting a max contract for whoever he chooses to play for. how are the cavs doing it better? riley already got him 1 ring and the cavs signing shaq (miami's been there done that) is just for show. i mean really how much better will the cavs be with a 65 yo shaq? the heat had a young team last year at critical positions so in a couple of years with wade they should be causing problems in the east

the heat already have a decent team. all they need is a decent low post player. beasley looks like he's going to be good with a couple of seasons under his belt and chalmers as well. where else can wade land in 2010 that would be an upgrade to where he is now? the knicks and pistons suck more than the team he's with right now. if wade signs now maybe it's more likely they can lure another big name in the 2010 off-season
