Yogi-Zen - The management type aren't generally that intelligent. They usually hire an organization to come in and advise them in situations such as these.

Typical Boston tactic made famous by Pedro Martinez who also was never tossed out for intentionally throwing at hitters.....reappearing in the face of Lackey. Nothing wrong with pitchers trying to own the inside part of the plate. But I didn't see any part of the plate on M. Joyce's back. Classless.

TO A TEE! It's a YOUNG MAN'S game Kobe! Slow your role or move on. All great NBA teams are built around solid centers. The Lakers went out and got one but are wasting him as he isn't a focal on this offense. Oh-And we won't even talk about what the Lakers are calling defense. D'Antoni and his system aren't right for this team. This coach better adjust to his team because the Lakers are still paying Mike which means looking for and landing a credible coach at this point will be a huge issue and the Laker organization will be in trouble. Be a professional Coach and adjust.

Posted Thursday January 24, 2013, About: Lakers 'went at each other' in team meeting
Let's see....I shoot the ball 40 times a game and maybe make half of them. I turn the ball over 6-8 times a game, my transition off of my turnovers is lax at best, I cheat all over the court in team defense, and cry to the refs while my team continues to play. Last but not least I do what I want to do. If you don't like it I call you out in the media. Don't feel bad. Shaquille had a hard time understanding this too. (Did I mention that we haven't won since Shaq?).
What? You don't like playing with me? 2 words Lakers- TRADE KOBE.

We all know money talks in this country's justice system. I'm sure he paid good money to his lawyer. He then played longer than he should have to re-claim some of that money. Now he's quitting. Let him go.

That would be a nice move considering his record and reputation there. Love his "give it all you got or move on" style. He was a GREAT fit. That's what that team needs. A Leader. Did I mention his love for those Raider fans? Mr. Gruden, knowing what it takes to build a contender everyone knows you are just the man for the job.

Posted Wednesday December 21, 2011, About: Report: Rangers doubled Yankees' Darvish bid
My bad. I meant Gonzalez. The point being that these teams are literally throwing what used to be termed "Yankee money" at these players. But in the case of the Red Sox they paid for good players but the league is full of them. They received far less than they paid for. And isn't that part of the bidding game? Make others pay more than they would like to just to "win" the "bidding war"? Nice job Mr. Cashman.

Take a look at what the Red Sox threw at Crawford and Martinez. This year the Angels go for the two top players available. Now Texas is jumping into the money pit with this unproven player. Yeah, the Yankees are the Evil Empire alright.
