I'll still watch every game but Jerruh needs to stop maing personnel decisions.
What the heck happened to my format?

Whatever; I'm not gonna fix it now.

11. The Redskins will be the surprise team this year.
I'm gonna give myself credit for this one. Some fans might argue that the Skins weren't the surprise team, but let's be real - NOBODY thought they'd win the East. And they did.

12. Miami and Cleveland will go back to the QB-drawing board.
Tannehill's not going anywhere, and Weeden might not either. Strike six.

13. The Jaguars will be semi-competitive.
Lol. What the deuce was I smoking??? Strike seven.

14. The Rams are better than you think.
They were. Nerby knows what I'm talking about. St. Louis improved from 2-14 in 2011 to 7-8-1 in 2012, including a tie and a win against San Fran, and wins against Seattle and playoff-bound Washington. Pretty impressive considering where they were a season earlier.

15. Randy Moss is going to have a really good year.
Nope. Strik eight.

16. Tim Tebow will have an exceptionally quiet season.
Nailed it. Which is pretty impressive (if I do say so myself) considering he was the world's biggest celebrity after the 2011 season.

17. Cam Newton is going to experience a sophomore slump.
Again, nailed it.

18. Lesser-known Wide Receivers will break out in a big way.
Of all the guys I mentioned, only Torrey Smith had a big year. Strike nine.

19. Arian Foster and Ray Rice will take a back seat to LeSean McCoy.
Argh... I still believe this one should've happened. Nevertheless, it didn't. Ten strikes.

20. Peyton Manning and the Broncos are going to suck.
Well this one was just stupid. Eleven strikes? Yowza!!!

BONUS. my new prediction for this season's Super Bowl is: Eagles 24, Ravens 21.
Now why'd I go and predict the stupid Super Bowl twice... anyhoo, strike twelve. Wack.

In summation, I nailed nine and bombed twelve. Pretty disappointing. Anyhoo, if you bothered to read this then now you know I suck at predictions. Hope you enjoyed it. See ya next year.

All right, the 2012 season has come and gone so now it's time for the fun stuff - time to review my predictions and solidify my status as a modern day Nostradamus. Here goes.

1. RGIII is going to be better than Andrew Luck.
Well, I was right about that one. Good start for me.

2. Alshon Jeffery is the next Calvin Johnson.
Hmmm... not quite. Course I still think Jeffery will get there, but he definitely didn't establish himself as Megatron 2.0 this season.

3. Gronkowski and Graham won't match last year's production.
Again, I was right. Neither guy matched their 2011 production and Gronk wasn't even close, although to be fair he did score 11 TD's and injuries were an obvious factor.

4. Matt Ryan is going to lead the NFL in passing and win the MVP.
In hindsight, this was a pretty generic statement. "Lead the NFL in passing"? The fuccckkk does that even mean? Regardless, Matty Ice was great but he wasn't the MVP. Strike two for me.

5. Aaron Rodgers is going to take a small step back.
He did. He was still really good, but not untouchable like he was in previous seasons. Rodgers never really looked like the guy who could not be stopped during the 2012 season.

6. The Saints will miss the playoffs.
I was correctomundo.

7. The replacement refs are going to be a non-issue.
This was probably my most egregious mis-prediction, as any GB Packers fan can attest. The replacement refs were, well, shittttty. Strike three for me.

8. The 49ers, Falcons and Cowboys will be the NFC's best.
The 49ers and Falcons both made the NFC Championship game, and I guess two-out-of-three ain't bad. But my Cowboys proclamation was embarassingly off point. Strike three and a half.

9. The Patriots, Ravens and Steelers will be the AFC's best.
Again, two-out-of-three ain't bad, but the Steelers were. Another half strike, bringing my total to four strikes. Suck on that one, baseball purists!!!

10. SB prediction: Cowboys 21, Ravens 17.
Ouch. I picked Baltimore correctly, but I had them losing. And again, Dallas blew chunks. So that means strike five. Oh no!!!

Halfway through and I'm five up, five down. Pretty damn mediocre.

Damn... this kid has some serious obstacles to overcome before he's gonna get a chance.

Oh, that makes sense. He is a bit of a smaller back.

It'd also be cool to see what Taiwan Jones can do. This guy is supposed to be super fast and I always kinda envisioned him being a CJ Slipper type back. No clue if I'm right about that but it'd be nice finding out.

I wish I could argue that Dallas should be ranked higher but that's just because I wish they were a better team.

Good blog as always, Gus.

By the way, that non-existent Packers' running game is starting to piss me off. I've started Alex Green a few times in a couple different FF leagues and he hasn't done ****.
