Aging defense? Briggs 27, Anderson 25, Dvoracek 25, Harris 25, Harrison 24, Hillenmeyer 27, Idonije 27, Manning 25, McBride 22, McGowan 24, Payne 24, Tillman 27, Vasher 26. That's eight starters under the age of 27, and backups that are even younger. Their defense is in its prime and we'll rebound in a big way this year because of health and depth on the defensive line and secondary. Offense is an entirely different story, but with Tait going back to his better/natural position and Williams providing an imposing, athletic LT, this unit should get better throughout the year.

Who cares about Briggs? The Bears already know what kind of man he is after sitting out the Packers game. It seemed to me they did just fine without him. Jamar Williams will fill in nicely next year. He did have 13 tackles in a game this year.

You guys should get in the cage and duke it out. With that being said, Bgduece you're completely wrong. I was the biggest Rex backer, but simply he doesn't have what it takes to make it as a productive NFL QB. Having a strong, accurate arm (with no pressure), doesn't make him remotely good. He's got "happy" feet, with no pocket awareness or ability to make pass rushers miss. He does make throws Orton and Griese can only dream of, but he has no poise under pressure. The Bears must part ways unless as a backup plan.
