That's right. Before the Celtics landed Ray and Kevin, fans were about ready to run Doc and Danny Anige out of down with pitchforks. Then they win one championship, and Doc is a genius who can walk on water.
If Doc was so damn smart. He would have seen this a few years ago and notice that the Celtics window has been shut. But he signed that contract extension. But he doesn't want to stick around to help rebuild.
I think the best option is a sign and trade with Houston. Houston will trade every player but James Harden. Trade him to Houston and grab a lot of their young talent that are near the end of their contracts. Also grab some first round draft picks. Because the Lakers trade away most of theirs getting Nash and Howard.
Agreed. Doc knew that this day was coming. And he still signed on for a long term deal to coach this team. Now he wants to bail out because the Celtics are about to start the rebuilding mode.
Watch Doc quit and take another job. He'll say the right things like how hard it was to leave Boston. But really it wasn't that hard because he wants to leave. He just doesn't want to look like a **** in leaving.
Of course Rivers is interested in coaching the Clippers. Boston is done being a title contender. After next year, the Celtics are in rebuild mode. The Clippers on the other hand looks ready to make a run for the championship. That is if the stars line up. Chris Paul resigns with the team. And Blake Griffin stays healthy.
I can't wait until flops and fouls are sold and sponsored.
I can hear the announcer now. 'That flop by LeBron James is brought to you by the good people at flip flop pancakes. Flop them on your plate and taste the difference."
Wow, a few days ago we had Dennis Rodman saying that LeBron James would be a average in the 80's and early 90's. Now we have Horry telling us that Hakeem would have no problem with Dwight Howard.
You got love it when a retired player is give a chance to speak. You just don't know what they're going to say.
But remember when this team was put together. James, Wade, and Pat Riley were talking about how Chris Bosh was going to be just like Kevin Garnett. Bosh was going to be the one who would play lockdown defense on the other team best front court player. Bosh was going to the one who was going to get all those rebounds. Bosh was going to be that same payer that played for the Raptors.
Bosh hasn't been the player that they thought they were getting. It's sad during the series with the Pacers that Ray Allen had more rebounds then Chris Bosh. The Heat's back up shooting guard had more rebounds the entire series then their starting power forward did. Sad.
In Miami, Bosh has turned into nothing but a soft power forward who takes jump shots and is afraid of the paint. Exile him to Charlotte. Maybe then Bosh might find his inside game and knock his ego down a bit.
Pat Riley would be a fool not to even think about it. How did the Lakers and Celtics stay great in the 80's? They conned other teams out of their high draft picks and gave the other team cast offs.
Really? Jordan was unstoppable in the 80's. But never won anything because the Piston's took it to him physically. Going up against those Detroit teams made Jordan a better player
LeBron would score points, but he would crying all game long. LeBron would be hand checked the second he touched the ball. That's something that doesn't happen in today's game. I can see James get knocked to the floor, look up and the refs and cry about a foul. The refs would look at him and say play on. As James gets off the floor, Mahorn or Rodman would just push him back down. James would cry again. When McHale close lined Kurt Rambis, that was called a foul and nothing else. If a player in todays game did that to LeBron James. That player would be arrested. James would leave on the court in a stretcher and come running back on the court in 5 minutes later with people calling it a miracle.
Agreed. I know fans are saying that this a weak draft. That there's no franchise player or superstar to be found in the draft. But I hope that there's some sleepers in this draft.
I would love to see James, Wade and Bosh play against the Detroit Piston "Bad Boy" teams. Rodman, Laimbeer, and Mahorn would terrorise any player that got near the paint. Miami's "big 3" would be crying after the first quarter. Oh wait, they do that already.
The Detroit Pistons were rough and tough on Michael Jordan. But they made Jordan a better player. Because Jordan hated to lose to them. And he wanted to beat them. And in the end he did.
Some team will overpay for this one trick pony. I think it will be the Kings as they want to pull in any Warrior fans that were upset the Ellis was traded from the team.
If the Heat don't win the championship. I guess some poor village in Africa will be getting new shoes along with Miami Heat championship t-shirts.

Jerry Buss handing the Lakers to Jim Buss. When he should have given the keys to Jeanie Buss.
