Since 2005:
Kerry Rhodes has been involved in 396 tackles
Ed Reed has been involved in 214 tackles

The Ravens have a stronger run defense which allows Ed Reed to play back in coverage. Therefore he has more opportunities to make a play on the ball.

The Jets run defense is their achilles heel. Therefore Rhodes has to play closer to the line of scrimmage and participate more heavily in run support.

Obviously Ed Reed is still the better player... but this article is way off point. It's not a fair comparison at all.

Oh definitely. The Vikings front office has done a phenomenal job during the Zygi Wilf era. So give [i]them[/i] the extension... not Brad Childress.

But there are two major faults that I hold against said front office:
1. The perpetual Los Angeles rumors
2. Their impotency at [i]drafting[/i] a franchise QB.

I propose the Vikings make a new stadium in Minnesota... an OUTDOOR stadium. Not a lame dome. Minnesota has [i]the[/i] coldest weather in the NFL. Use that weather advantage.

If they move to Los Angeles they'll be moving back to Minnesota within 5-10 years.

Considering Andy Reid controlled the offense in Philadelphia, Brad Chlidress was nothing more than a pawn an an Offensive Coordinator. To do this day, I still don't understand why the Vikings thought he was Head Coach material.

Obviously they can't do that... but they can definitely mess with the Bye Weeks and Time Zones. Give em a bunch of games against teams that are fresh off the Bye Week. And then make em play on the road in the East Coast following on the road in the West Coast, etc. And then maybe give em some short weeks by messing with the Thursday Night Games.

Yep tweak the Bears schedule next season. Looks like the Bears have to play 16 road games in 2010 including the Saints, Colts [i]and[/i] Patriots? Guess they should have done that interview.

This doesn't sound like something that should be decided on a per team basis. The NFL signs the television contracts (not the Bears) so these guys should be obligated to cowboy-up just like the personnel from every other team.

I've often heard people claim that LeBron James is "arguably" the fastest player from basket-to-basket in the NBA. So that 4.9 speed sounded bogus. 4.4 sounds more realistic.

[b]IMO, it's time the NFL considers concussions to be a season-ending injury[/b]. An initial concussion can leave an individual more vulnerable to future hits. And if the brain has not fully healed before taking that 2nd concussion, the damage is significantly worse.

There is no way to say for sure [i]when[/i] the brain has recovered from a concussion, so the NFL should put it's money where it's mouth is and mandate concussions as an automatic IR injury.

As an Eagles fan, I don't want to see Brian Westbrook back on the field until Game 1 next year [i]at the earliest[/i]. And when you consider that he is a 30 year old runningback, it may just be time to retire. At least LeSean McCoy looks like a respectable replacement.
