Posted Friday March 01, 2013, About: Longoria won't beg Price to stay
I'm sure the Price paid attention to the Carl Crawford experience. Price will sign for big money but I don't think it will be with either the Yankees or Red Sox.

That would have made a Rangers-Nationals series all that more confusing.
Posted Monday April 02, 2012, About: What's missing in Tampa? Fans
"No excuse for Tampa Bay. Except for a few diehards, there fan base just doesn't care. That's just fine for members of Red Sox Nation who are happy to fill the seats (and drown out the local fans with Let's go Red Sox!) when their team goes south."

Size of Boston's market 14.4 million.
Size of Tampa Bay's market 4.4 Million

Easy to be sanctimonious when you have four times as many people willing to pay for overpriced crappy seats.
Posted Friday December 30, 2011, About: Longoria calls Twitter report 'completely false'
No doubt wishful thinking on the part of a Boston or New York writer, but Longoria is locked into a long term contract, he not going anywhere unless the Rays trade him and hell will freeze over before that will happen.

Nor is he likely to go to Boston or New York even when he becomes a free agent. The Carl Crawford experience has pretty much soured him on those two markets.

Only 500,000 people live within an hour's drive to the Trop. Move the ballpark accross the bay that number jumps to 1.2 million.

Location, location, location.
Posted Sunday June 26, 2011, About: Rays would love move to NL
Talk about stupidity. The Rays biggest home crowds are for the Yankees and Red Sox games. Why would they walk away from that?

Crawford will be an Angle.

Got me, Should read 750,000,000,
Posted Saturday August 07, 2010, About: Rays manager wants new catwalk rules
I don't think anybody is arguing anymore about the need for a new stadium. Just where you're going to get $750,000 dollars to build it and where you're going to put it.

If it hit's the A ring, it should be foul ball and dead at that point. Without the interference of the catwalk it's normally caught pop out.
