Wilson was drafted because John Schneider tends to go for "best value" - and they had Wilson graded as a late 2nd round prospect. They were astonished he'd be there at the 3rd round.

It was expected that Flynn would win the starting job through most of August, that Wilson would replace Tarvaris Jackson, and have a season or two behind Flynn. He then exceeded expectations.

Of Wilson's INTs, there's something that's worth noting: Four of them were interceptions where his receiver had their hands on the ball before the DB grabbed them away. Two were interceptions where he was throwing with a defensive lineman holding his jersey. One was a complete freak accident. One was clearly a case of the DB understanding the play and knowing exactly how to execute the pick.

Wilson is showing good judgement, nice touch, and good ball placement and accuracy. Will he be better than RGIII or Andrew Luck? No. Will he be in the top 10 starting QBs? Maybe not this year - but he could be next year. I'd still take him over Tony Romo this season, for example. Or Carson Palmer.
