Has it occurred to anyone that in releasing Braylon Edwards, Harbaugh did so to send a message to his team? The message being that "we will not sacrifice character and work ethic for potential". He may be using this as a teaching moment. Let's face it. He has done a great job with the Niner's this year and they look good for a solid playoff run but there are two other teams in the NFC they aren't going to blow by this year. That being said, he may be using this as a chance to say he isn't going to tolerate any B.S., no matter the cost because a washed up has been like Braylon, T.O. or Randy isn't going to get them any further in the playoffs than a hard working practice squad player.
