Posted Saturday May 05, 2007, About: Who really coaches Penn State?
Joe can stay as long as he likes. My fondest memory of Joe is something that occurred twenty year ago but I just discovered. On the steps of Old Main after beating Miami in the Orange Bowl, Joe challenged the University to build a new library and backed it up with money out of his pocket. You could see the president's and several other official's jaws drop in unison. You could just imagine what was going on in their heads.
Posted Thursday May 03, 2007, About: Penn State redshirt to transfer
Locally it is being reported that he did not meet fitness milestones or shown progress in conditioning drills which means he has zero chance of getting on the field in Happy Valley as long as Joe is the coach. Sounds like he does not take football seriously.
Posted Sunday April 29, 2007, About: Bielema Focused on Spring Game
Come on Badger fans, pick it up. 15,000 is all you can muster for the spring game? Penn State and Ohio State both brought in more than 70K. Madison on game day is one of college football's gems, if I lived within three hours I would be there.
Posted Sunday April 29, 2007, About: Michigan srs. want to go out on top
Michigan is in trouble. The defense was over-rated last year as evidenced by the many coverage break downs and other issues that were evident against Ohio State and USC. The defense features a few really good players and a bunch of lesser players. The good players are gone and the lesser players return. The offense will be good but has already proven numerous times that it is not capable of carrying the team when needed. Michigan will battle Ohio State for the third in the Big Ten and the league's automatic birth in the Outback Bowl while Penn State takes the conference title. Wisconsin will come up just short and finish the season playing in Orlando again. Michigan State and Purdue will finish fifth and sixth while the rest of the conference stays home for bowl season and Kirk Ferentz contemplates leaving Iowa for greener pastures.
Posted Sunday April 29, 2007, About: Will Joe Pa discipline Scirrotto?
While the players should not have put them into the position they are now in. I will hold judgment until we get more information regarding the case and charges given that the same prosecutor filed charges against Scott Paxson without any evidence last year only to have the plaintiff story fall apart on the stand. If the alleged crimes were committed, Joe will take action and kick more or more players off the team and all will be fine.
