International tournaments playing for your country are supposed to be done on a volunteer basis. Remember all the fuss made when the Soviets paid their players? That a loudmouth American has to show his butt and make it clear that he does not understand this, is embarrassing to this country. Just reinforces the view of the ugly, greedy American.
