4-Their defensive scheme is so inept that almost always in every game,you can count on at least 6 missed assignments.
5-their best player is a 1dimensional player..Melo is just a scorer.poor in almost every other facet of the game.
6-The mental make up of the team is questionable,How do you explain a supposedly very good team getting trounce on their home court in the opening game of the -2ND round.

Knicks is a terrible team..Do they run any set plays for anyone else except for Melo.
And what exactly is a set play for the Knicks,Felton dribbles to the top -3point area dribbles,dribbles pass to Melo,dribbles,dribbles,dribbles then shoot.

And their defensive scheme,switching on every play,even the players were confused,how many drives down the lane did Indiana carved out of 'em.

O-lines are not easily rebuilt...it's one of the most essentially integral part of a football team.
It takes almost just as much time to develop as a quarterback.

Caldwell was not with the clique that essentially initiated the Manning era in Indy.Caldwell came on board after.Tom Moore was there from the inception providing Manning with game "concepts".Sure Payton called his own plays.but go back and look at film and see whom Payton went to after every 3 & out.

As for the D...the Colts neglected the defense..it was no secret,that the Colts gave almost all resources to the Payton & the offense...The Colts even won a Superbowl with a defense that gave up huge yardage up the middle.Dungy was was the HC & stepped in just before the playoff of their Superbowl win to help with the D.Remember how teams were whipping 'em up the middle that yr.
During all that time the Colts failed to acquire a stout figure in the middle of the line.

If the Colts had devoted a quarter of the resources to the d-line as the offense the colts should have had 2 more Superbowls to the Manning era.

The Colts are a mess....Irsay for whatever reason thinks he can repeat
the success that Manning brought the Franchise with Luck as the #1 pick.
Well, that's Fool's Gold,cuz the essential elements that created the enviroment for Manning success are not there anymore,The Polians,Moore,O-line coach etc,etc.
