So the headline says that the D-Backs think Owings retaliated, but at the end of the story the player who was apparently being thrown at said that it's part of the game and the manager thinks it wasn't intentional.

There's a rumor that Ben Mauk won his appeal for a sixth year of eligibility. It all hangs on Wake Forest saying he was legitimately injured during his redshirt freshman year, which he was. Since Mauk left Wake Forest on good terms, that shouldn't be a problem. An official announcement should be made sometime by the end of the week.
