Posted Wednesday November 13, 2013, About: Who will Anaheim move for pitching?
Howies defense and hitting are key to the Angels. Albert is not a leader, and I am not optimistic he will return to his Cardinals form. Hamilton is still a risk. The odd man out, and best trade would be Trumbo. He can hit, but he is a liability anywhere on the field. Peter Borjus is another player that could be dealt. With Trout in center and Hamilton usually in RF, Peter coming off a leg injury might be best served by playing elsewhere. We need pitching, we have Weaver and CJ so it's really the 3-5 spot if you carry 5 starters, and a middle reliever. What we also need desperately is a catcher to back up Chris. Time for Conger to find a new home as well. By the way I say this as a multi year season seat holder.

Let's see, Tim made 70% of his throws yesterday, yes he threw 2 interceptions in the rain, his first time throwing to these receivers. Drew Breeze threw 3 interceptions in clear weather condition at Saints camp. That is what camp is for boys.

My hope is that next weekend the Jets sit Tim, he could use the time off, and needs to be healthy at the end of the season when he is either traded or waived. The Jets are done, they can win a couple of more games, but they aren't making the post season.

Ok,that is one of the most creative lines I have read recently.

How about one high school state champion, one Heisman, two college national championships, playoff win against a team that was in the Super Bowl the season before in just his first year as a starter. Lets see he also won the Davey O'Brien Award, Maxwell Award, Harely Award, NCAA QB of the year, AP Player of the year, ESPY as best male athlete, Wuerffel Trophy winner, William V. Campbell Trophy, and GMC Never Say Never Award Winner among others. He was a finalist for the Heisman his Junior and Senior years.
The guy has a go button and no off button. He will make himself better, because he is driven to succeed, like few others. Sort of the Pete Rose thing but without the gambling.
Posted Monday December 12, 2011, About: Respect for Tebow the QB still lacking
Everybody is mentioning the defense, and they are playing well as are special teams. The difference is still Tebow. If you haven't studied his past teams, his record and his method of motivation, i.e. either been a fan for years, or read his book or both, you wont get it. The defense credits him, the offense credits him and he credits them. We call it Tebow Time, he calls it Bronco Time. What he has done is instilled his mantra 'Somewhere he is out there training and I'm not. And when we meet, he will win.' if you noticed last night and the commentators mentioned, the defense was on the sidelines watching the game well the offense was on the field not sitting back resting but at the end of the game they were strong, not tired, hustling and encouraging each other, offense to defense and defense to offense. Tim by his work ethic has changed the expectations of the team for itself. They have each others backs. When questioned he credit's his defense, not generically but by name, by play, same for special teams, and guys on his line, even if they had screwed. He is two things, a winner and a leader. Again the record speaks for itself, against all odds, people telling him he couldn't do it, he as won state championships in high school, two national championships in college, and the first sophmore ever to win a Heisman. In each case whether coming off the bench or starting he is positive, works hard and constantly improving. Funny how sometimes its about leading, not just scoring. Notice no one on his team minds the attention he is getting. Lot of stadiums were empty last week, not Denver. The bears defense couldn't hold the 10 point lead with 4 minutes to go. This weeks story is about Chicago's failure, there in ablity to stop what everyone in the stadium expected. It was defensive failure, all they had to do was stop the Bronco's anemic attack right? So why couldn't they do it?
Posted Sunday December 04, 2011, About: Why Colts should part with Peyton
the Rodgers, Luck comparison doesn't hold water. Rodgers had the advantage of waiting, working, filling in some games long before he had to start. Rodgers also had a strong offense and defense to work with. This year just goes to show how little Payton had to work with. If you could get Luck and keep him on the sidelines for 3 years maybe. However you might be better off getting the first over all pick and trading it for several high round picks that could help you rebuild your offensive and defensive lines. A couple of real running backs would be worth more than a great QB. Dalton has done well for Cincy but really how have the rest of the rookie class done. Cam who led his team to a national championship last year has a number of records at hand but only two wins. Luck isn't Indy's answer in the next two years. However Payton is a mentor and knows how to teach, so maybe????????
