Quick release pocket awareness good footwork & mechanics(which goes hand in hand with accuracy)and Football intelligence are far more important than arm strength and size but arm strength can get you out of trouble and the stronger your arm the more open your receivers are as the defenders have less recovery time

greatest ever Aikman puh-lease and again he had a good arm no he didn't throw lasers like an Elway or Stafford but he could throw the far hashmark outs as Irvin I'm sure will attest to

I didn't say strong I said good and yes his Football intelligence was very high. If he didn't have a very good arm and was also vertically challenged do you really think the NFL of that era would have had him rated so high. to draft him early 2nd

Today yes, but in 2-3 years Bortles with good coaching and a toolbox to go with the tools will be far better than BridgeH20. I believe that Bridgewater has plateaued and will be nothing but a bridge QB till the next QB of the future is drafted. And yes at least 1 of these three will bomb out and Teddy's my pick

Brees had a very good arm he was downgraded cause of height. Brady once upon a time had a decent arm not great but decent and also a quick release. Flutie had to go to Canada for 6 or so years to get a chance to start and even then he was never a clear cut #1 and what did he win in the NFL anyways

I disagree although it isn't the be all arm strength. Defense's would be at an advantage as they would be able to recover faster to a weak armed QB and on go routes the DB's could play more loosely and be able to cheat towards other receivers. And they can play closer to the box and force the team to depend on his arm to beat them

The stupidity of the Gil Stein era still lives on. Get rid of it and while they're at it get rid of the trapezoid so goalie can protect their D-men which is why Plante started retrieving the pucks in the first place

Back when I was a wee lad I was a Habs fan. How I despised having to watch Leafs games unless of course the Habs were playing them. Even as the hometown team started to win my allegiance( not by being a good team mind you). I still had a soft spot for Dryden Lafleur and Lemaire. That was a fantastic team in the late 70's the like we'll never see again.

Didn't Geno Smith do a remake last year of that song

I have thought all along that he would be nothing but a marginal starter in the NFL his career will be mostly spent as a clipboard holder. Now that the scouts have seen his arm live when they review his game tapes they will notice his limitations
