I feel for you as well Spiny. This year hasn't played out for the Rangers the way it was suppose to. I hate to bring this up but people here who have teams in the west and got to see Nash play I'm guessing more then you did gave fair warning about his game. What you are seeing now is what we have been seeing the last three years. Talented yes but not very motivated.
What would be bizzare is if the Av's cave to his demands. What I hear is he asking for as much as the highest paid coach gets plus he wants a big say in trades, contracts etc. If true he is asking for a lot for a guy who has never coached in the big game.
Keenan did get you a Cup. (with a lot of help from Messier). I can't see Torts delivering you one. If the Rangers are eliminated this round does he stay?
There is a story that goes back to the 94 Cup. Keenan was going on and on about somthing. Messier had enough he grabbed Keenan put him up against the wall and told him to get out of his dressing room. I wish one of the Rangers would do the same to Torts he is becoming a pain in the butt to the organization and is not near the coach he thinks he is.
As one of the announcer said ' You never know what's going to happen when you put a mic in front of Tortorella". G-d though it was a nice goal Callahan scored.
I agree. Right from the get go I thought the Rangers getting Nash was risky at best. With all that size and skill he could be Lindros like but as you say he is Thornton with a little Penner thrown in.
Boston's D is pretty thin right now so if he can't find his way to the net that's on him. I'm not saying you are doing this but the term playing against the top pairings gets over used and is an excuse in a lot of cases. I don't know how this series will end but the Rangers chances go up if Nash starts to deliver what NY fans were promised when they traded for him
