If you think Dan Henderson is a used up 40 year old then you havent seen his last 5 fights in the UFC and you shouldnt be commenting.
Hendo is a true legend and a true ambassador to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and Dana White knows this and I think you will see Hendo back in the UFC unless Strikeforce can pay him the big bucks.
He was disrespected by UFC by being told he was getting a title shot and now not getting a title shot. You have to remember this is a man who held two titles from pride before coming over to UFC.

The reason Wayne received 8 million a season is because he was a part owner in the Coyotes franchise, so they paid him that high salary as part of his ownership. Ok so maybe he wasnt the greatest coach in the NHL but you cant fault him for being paid $8 million.
Hes a legend in the game and no matter how bad of a coach he is remember hes the Greatest hockey player to ever live.
Also if Shane Doan is by far your best player it doesnt matter whos coaching the team. You can say well Phoenix is doing good now but lets be honest without their tender playing well that team is another mediocre squad with underachieving first round draft picks.

Tito obviously isnt the fighter he once was but also the MMA world is getting a lot better and having more well rounded fighters. I think Tito is awesome and even if he isnt fighting having him on board sure does help Affliction because of his personality and his unreal hot gf Jenna Jameson.

I think Gary Bettman is an idiot and it makes no sense to not have another team in Canada when all the Canadian teams make money for the other terrible hockey markets. Well New York has two NHL teams and they cant compete with the hockey fans in southwestern ontario. Let Hamilton get a team so I can finally cheer for my hometown.
Also Bettman is a huge snake.

I can't believe people think this kid wont go number 1 in the upcoming draft. I follow the OHL and am a season ticket holder and this kid is going to be the next best thing. He was Canadas best player at the tourney playing a minor role and then once he gained some confidence he turned into their number one player. If Stamkos went first overall this year I can guarantee Tavares will go number one. Victor Hedman is playing in a league where its not as physical as the OHL so id like to see him be a force in the OHL. One more thing that is his uncle who plays for the buffalo bandits not his dad.

The reason why Gordie Howe is pictured in the article I do believe is for two reasons, one Gordie is one of the best wings of all time and he was at that game against edmonton signing autographs for his new book that has been recently released.
I also cant believe with a team like Detroit who are cup favorites why no one is going to these games, the tickets are very accessible and very reasonable. me and my gf sat 16 rows up from the penalty box at centre ice and i paid 85 dollars per tickets, im going to a leafs game tomorrow and our tickets are 200 per seat and we arent anywhere near centre ice.

If you are making millions of dollars why do these guys still put themselves in positions even if they didnt committ a crime. Just like Vick they had to know they were committing some type of crime, the NFL is the most successful league in the world but also has the most crime amongst its players. Also they have the best lawyers who cover up a lot of the crime and teams also try and settle out of court as well.
It is a priviledge to play any professional sport but the NFL needs to have harsher penalties for players committing crimes.

I cant see this happening unless they are looking for Draft Picks and some younger talent.

I think Sutton is underrated for sure, hey may be not as quick but hes a presence on the blue line the Islanders need. He can play against teams top power forwards and can also fight. Even though hey may be offensively challenged he is still a presence that no forward wants to play against. He finished in the top twenty in blocked shots and missed 27 games. Along with having Brendan Witt this team has added toughness to a weak defence corp.

GoCanada i cant agree more, anyone wanting to sign Mike Peca is thinking hes the Team Canada shut down forward he once was. Even when he was healthy last year he was invisible on the ice. If they sign Peca they should also sign Jeff O'neill and Jason Allison lol just like the leafs did.

Markov is overrated and there is a reason hes been on so many teams. He has terrible numbers for a 2.5 million dollar defenceman and is offensively challenged and defensively limited. Also Komisarek is twice the defenceman Markov ever was so they should bring up a hardnose rookie from the minors and save the cash for another player around the trade deadline if no one is available now. Montreal isnt close to winning a cup so they might as well bring up a Ryan McDonagh or a Mathieu Carle up from the minors and get them some playing time.

Avery is a good player but how many times do you hear that with a BUT at the end of it. Hes no Darcy Tucker and he hurts their team more than helps it. Especially with the additions of the two new snipers they need this guy to shut his mouth and play the way he can and then you might finally see a talented Sean Avery.

Valid Point JoeC but he cant stay healthy as we have seen in the past and at that price its simply not worth having a guy around who can be a possible distraction if he isnt playing.
Although another thought would be if he was healthy and killing penalties and a leader in the room then 1.5 would be a steal for Peca.
JFJ has already made some terrible deals (McCabe, Kubina, Raycroft, Jeff Oneill) lets let this guy go to Buffalo.
