Posted Wednesday December 03, 2008, About: Stars frustrated with Avery's act
Avery is a ****. Anybody who would risk their career to talk some trash about somebody's girlfriend is a meat-head. Your boss says, "Hey, I'm gonna pay you millions of dollars to play a sport, just keep your yap shut, OK?" what are you gonna do? KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. It'd be one thing if his little "agitator" strategy was working, but the Stars are in the basement in the standings and this little twerp won't shut up and do his job. Dump him ASAP, let's save the season, Dallas.

I just cannot stand the guy. I'm kind of ashamed as a Dallas fan that we felt the need to put that classless **** on our team. He was talking crap about Iginla the other day, two game misconducts in one game, and I think he goes against the grain of what the Stars have been building as a team.

GO SMITTY! Great guy and we miss him here in Dallas.
Posted Saturday May 31, 2008, About: Canadian teams sell more tickets
I think there is a term that encapsulates this story nicely. DUH! It's only their national sport. I myself am thrilled that we have teams here in the states and I love my Dallas Stars, but we clearly don't appreciate hockey in the US on the level that it deserves. We're far too busy handing over millions upon millions of dollars to a bunch of 'roid heads (MLB) and criminals (NFL).

Just becasue he's not right for the Stars doesn't mean he's not right for somebody.
Posted Saturday May 24, 2008, About: Stars want Tippett long-term
GOOD JOB, TIPP! Glad we get to keep you around after the scary times at the beginning of the season. I love you, man!
Posted Thursday May 22, 2008, About: Roenick coming back to Sharks
Dude! Good for JR he deserves it for turning himself around and pulling his head out.
Posted Wednesday May 21, 2008, About: How Stars two-headed GM works
Oh Grammar Police, where have you been? It probably happens so much because of the repeat rate of the keyboard rather than the intellect of the poster (in most cases) Either way, relax before you get some stress induced illness.
Posted Saturday May 17, 2008, About: Columnist: Turco better than Osgood
What they are saying Wings fans is that Detroit's defense is better than their goalie. Are all Detroit fans this stupid? Turco is a great goalie and is the reason that the Stars have gotten as far as they have. Jeez...lunkheads.
Posted Friday April 18, 2008, About: Rangers hear gay group's concerns
Do any of you understand that being gay isn't something you choose? People who **** are not trying to "ensnare others into being gay" or anything. They just want to be accepted. They aren't "promoting" gayness as the choice for everyone, but who are we to say that they aren't normal, or that they shouldn't be accepted, and who are we to insist that they put up with a slur because people think it's funny to yell it at a hockey game. Grow the **** up. If I say something to you and it hurts your feelings the appropriate response is for me to say I'm sorry, and then we move on and watch the game. Jeez...

Good for you JR, it's nice to see you back in form.

They work but apparently don't watch movies or read Stephen King books.
Posted Wednesday January 02, 2008, About: Stars negotiating with scorer
I don't know about all that. He seems like he's been a little bit a of a Prima Donna, but you can't argue with the results. I don't think he's the "New Modano" but he is very good, and I'd be pretty happy to see him stick around a while. Give him a couple of years and see how it goes. I think all these long term contracts are getting out of hand, anyway. Lundqvist in NY on a 12 YEAR contract ( I think that's the rumor, right?) INSANE!
Posted Friday December 28, 2007, About: Why Avery can't stand Toronto
Sounds to me like his Christmas Card list just got a lot shorter for next year.
Posted Friday December 21, 2007, About: Stars goalies take jab at Luongo
This is Hockey isn't it? We didn't switch over to figure skating when I wasn't looking did we? Maybe (just maybe) you guys should buck up and not be such wussies about it? it was a joke, and I thought it was funny myself. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of humor to bring light to a real issue. To you Sunshine, I seem to recall your buddy Brodeur dropping a couple of easy stops last time the Stars were in Jersey? Hmm... And to those of you on the "Turco needs to win a round" bandwagon. You don't even know what you're talking about. Turco posted THREE SHUTOUTS in the series against the Canucks. He's probably the best puck-handling goalie in the league. And by the way just because you have a goalie like Luongo (who is immensely talented, don't get me wrong) to carry your sorry team past the first round doesn't mean you have a lot to crow about in Vancouver past him.
Posted Thursday December 13, 2007, About: NHL's top-secret skate experiment
When they talked about these a while back Gretzky said that if they'd had these sooner he might still be playing! Which is an exaggeration I'm sure, but he's not the only one who feels strongly about these things and as far as letting a few people test them out, I don't think it's too big a deal. I don't think these are so much a performance enhancer as a fatigue reducer.
Posted Tuesday December 11, 2007, About: Report: Marty for Marty trade
One more thing, I think that last year's playoffs showed the importance and impact of good net-minding. Roberto Luongo carried a mediocre team to the second round of the playoffs (over the Stars :( ) when they really had no business being there.
Posted Tuesday December 11, 2007, About: Report: Marty for Marty trade
For those of you who feel the need to call me out. Martin St. Louis may be the greatest thing since flush toilets, ok? But Marty Turco is one of the best goalies in the league, period. He handles the puck better than anybody. How many times does he have to show it for you to believe it? And of course because I disagree with you I must be a bong-hitting retard. Isn't the anonymity of the internet awesome?!?!

Look, you can score all day long but if your goalie is crap it's not going to matter is, it? I think that we'd be more likely to see Smitty go in a trade involving a goalie. Marty Turco is a key part of the Stars and he's not going away.
Posted Monday December 10, 2007, About: Report: Marty for Marty trade
Yeah, that'll pretty much do it for me as a Stars fan if this rumor bears true. We trade off our proven top notch talent for no-name retards. (Nothing against this other guy) I'm just tired of seeing this team shoot itself in the foot. Turco is too good a goalie to be thrown away, and while Smitty is a good goalie himself he doesn't have the kind of grace and puck-handling that Turks has. But apparently, both Turco and St Louis both have "No-Trade" clauses so they'd both have to want to leave, wouldn't they?
Posted Wednesday November 21, 2007, About: Crosby puts on goalie pads
And he's not supposed to enjoy the game a little? Jeez, lighten up people! Hey Sid, have some fun, buddy! You deserve it for carrying the marketing of the whole freakin' league. Poor guy isn't even old to drink let him cut loose!
Posted Friday August 31, 2007, About: Russian no lock for Stars roster
Yes, the Stars have fans!!! As far as who is he? Who cares? I haven't heard of him either and I hope the guy has a great season! Stop being so jaded!
